New Post: ‘Fortnite’ update: here’s everything that’s been added to the game - https://lnkd.in/gzxbrttK - The latest Fortnite update has added a much-requested feature to the online shooter: Reload Duos. READ MORE: ‘Monster Hunter Wilds’ looks like a huge step up for Capcom’s iconic beast-bashing series Fortnite‘s new reload mode was launched June 22 and it gives players that feeling of the game when it first surged to popularity. This mode brings back the original map to the game with all of its first points of interest that made people fall in love with it. That means even Tilted Towers is in there. The problem was, this game mode only had squad queueing available. That meant you had to either play with three other friends or join a team of strangers, and most people don’t find that very fun. So, the community begged for duos and trios, where they’d only have to find one or two pals to squad up with. This new duos mode is going live today, and you’ll be able to play it with both the zero build and battle royale rules. The zero build rules are perfect for people who can’t stand starting a gunfight only to have a three-bedroom semi-detached house built around them before they even get a chance to reload. It prevents all building, essentially. The battle royale rules are the standard ones we all know and love. Fortnite players have also recently become fascinated by a mysterious new character called the Wanderer. They started appearing June 25, and they’ll disappear if you get to close to them. They also seem to only spawn once per match, so if you haven’t seen them yet, just give it time. It’s not clear what this character will do, but have a look at them if you see them. In other news, a recent Elden Ring patch has made the game easier for players who were struggling with the difficulty of the DLC. What do the most-played PC games of August 2024 have in common? 🤔 They're not from 2024. The newest entry is already 4 years old. 😲 According to the Newzoo report, the top 10 most-played PC games in August: 1. Roblox - Released in 2006 2. Minecraft - Released in 2009 3. Fortnite - Released in 2017 4. The Sims 4 - Released in 2014 5. CS2 GO - Released in 2012 (I know, CS2 is from 2023 but c'mon) 6. Call of Duty Warzone - Released in 2020 (Yes, MW3 is from 2023, I know) 7. League of Legends - Released in 2009 8. Valorant - Released in 2020 9. GTA V - Released in 2013 10. Rocket League - Released in 2015 I understand the appeal of those titles. Heck, I played most of those games myself (especially Warzone during lockdown! Still remember the heart pounding when it was just us vs. the other team. Absolute fire!🔥) But whenever I see lists like that, I wonder how the hell a game that comes out today can even compete with those well-established behemoths with millions of active users, dedicated communities, and a constant influx of content. There is still room for breakthrough hits (I'm looking at you, Wukong 🐒), but at the same time, it feels like many games will be doomed to live in the shadows of those giants. What do you think about it? ----------- Newzoo report: https://lnkd.in/d_jRwiEm

Let's take a look at Valve's new game, Deadlock. This is the company's first game in many years and it's set in a new universe. So, what do we see? It's a mix of Dota, Team Fortress 2, and Fortnite. Both Valve games are hugely successful. Will this new game succeed? It's hard to say, but it looks like a competitor to Fortnite. It's a MOBA, so you need to destroy the throne and towers. Destroy towers to earn skill points. You can pick up various power-ups on the battlefield. There are teleporters, ziplines, and the map size is huge. Is it too much for six players? You have a team, so you need to act together. But why six players on four lanes? Some lanes will be empty, or two will have only one player each. There are many questions. The gameplay footage shows little action. There's a lot of running around, and it's unclear if it will be too boring. In Dota, there's no time to relax. It's surprising that Valve has been so active lately. They release a new Dota patch or host a big event with a free battle pass. It's impressive.

Did you know that you can create both single- and multiplayer games with MANU? Take a look at this one! Dive into the chaotic world of Nebula Rivals: Arena - a first-person multiplayer game for up to 4 people reminiscent of the classics, Quake and Doom. But beware, this isn't your typical stroll down memory lane. In this twisted version of nostalgia, you and your team of four friends find yourselves trapped in a space base straight out of a sci-fi nightmare. As you navigate the labyrinthine corridors, dodging bullets and evading enemies, remember one thing: self-preservation is key. With every step, the threat of impending doom looms large, reminding you that in this game, survival isn't just a goal — it's a necessity. But fear not, for amidst the chaos, there's a glimmer of hope: the healing stations scattered throughout the base. Utilize them wisely, for they may be the only thing standing between you and an untimely demise. Test it here: https://manu.org/games/13
