 📢 Earlier this week at World Circular Economy Forum WCEF our coordinator, Justo GARCIA, illuminated the crucial significance of innovation and the industrial obstacles in battery recycling. 💡Among the enlightening discussions and sessions, one notably significant dialogue transpired during the panel focusing on the "𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐨𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐄𝐮𝐫𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐚𝐧 𝐛𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐲". Exciting times ahead as we now have a dedicated Commissioner in the European Commission with a portfolio focused on the Circular Economy! This is a pivotal moment for Europe's journey towards sustainability, resilience, and competitiveness. The Circular Economy isn't just about protecting our planet; it's about boosting our competitiveness and ensuring a stronger, more resilient Europe. The new mandate emphasizes creating a market for secondary materials, establishing a single market for waste, and enhancing the development of sustainable products. These steps are vital to drive innovation, attract investment, and create new jobs, all while maintaining our commitment to a greener future. By aligning our environmental goals with economic incentives, we can build a circular economy that not only meets our climate and biodiversity targets but also strengthens Europe's global position as a leader in sustainable growth. I'm excited to see how this will unfold and how we, as businesses and stakeholders, can contribute to this ambitious agenda. "Think about every decition you have to make and start with small steps and measures, that cost you no investment. Small change can be made at each decision and this will bring us much further that you could imagine... after winning the first savings, the motivation will increase and help you further" ... this was my recommendation from final question: At the end of the day every business have to be profitable.
