"Generative AI’s Impact is Overblown" is a popular headline I see often. A key lesson I learned from my last startup's failure was that focusing on cutting-edge technology, instead of addressing tangible customer problems, is a losing proposition. There is a similar trend with Generative AI. Many builders are too eager to integrate the tech without considering if it meets their customers' needs. GenAI is a powerful tool, but it should be looked at as one option among many, rather than a solution in search of a problem. Is the GenAI story overhyped or are you finding ways it can solve real customer problems?
