Yesterday, I stepped out of my comfort zone and joined a session by Hector Rodriguez Jr. called "Unlocking Sales Potential Through Tech Stack." The focus was primarily on "winning with AI." If you're like me, AI is a bad word. I routinely think that adopting AI is letting the machines take over your thoughts. But there are some insights I got from this that are worth sharing, and worth considering if you are also in the "AI bad" camp like me. 1. AI cannot generate original ideas, exhibit emotional intelligence, or adapt to new situations without prior training - humans are still necessary! 2. Look at your BAT triangle (behavior, attitude, technique) and realize that (B) you have to be willing to try new tools in your process, (A) you need to treat technology like a teammate, and (T) you should use tech to simplify the process, not complicate it. 3. The old sales process is: More Reps x More Tools x More Activity = More Seles. Founders/AEs, Struggling to sell a disruptive AI solution? Here are 3-5 questions that helped me overcome buyer skepticism & security concerns selling Gen AI in the last 9 months (Challenger Sales # 1 - To Be Continued..) 1. Uncover Current Way of doing things Taking Docket (AI Sales Engineer) as an example - Curious - What's the current process your sales team uses when they have product-related queries? How do they find the information they need? Pro Tip --> Summarize what you see with your current customers or have felt in the past that might be the exact reality (check comments to see what I say) 2. Highlight inefficiencies in an authentic way Revenue leaders with similar contexts tell us that AEs waste 30% of their time searching complex product info. Maybe curated or uncurated sources like slack or historically recorded sales calls or trainings. Curious - What do you feel? What would happen to sales cycles or revenues if accurate product information was always available instantly? Pro Tip --> Name some of your current customers where you have seen this & use exact metrics (Eg. drop in cycle length, higher conversion rates & less ramp time for AEs in my case) 3. Implicate Pain by exposing Risks & Missed Opportunities Seems it's fair to assume that if your AEs can’t get timely information, deals may get delayed or lost? Have you seen this on any recent deals? Pro Tip --> When the pain is felt & imagined & not just rationalized, know you are getting through to the emotional brain. All humans make emotional decisions & justify them rationally (remember that!) If you noticed, I am just using Step 1 of Challenger sales here (Teach For Differentiation!) Has anyone here experimented with these AI SDR solutions for generating leads for founder-led sales? We're in a place where driving more leads = more traction, so trying to ramp this up (for https://flyflow.dev)Did a dig here on three over the last day or so, but would love to hear what other's opinions are Here are the three I explored: https://aisdr.com/ - Email only, and pricy. Wouldn't recommend. $750 for 1000 leads, which over email is tiny https://www.clay.com/ - Cheaper, self serve version of ai sdr. Probably going to try this out https://aktify.com/ - Two options, they can either forward to your calendly ($1 per contact texted) or they'll forward you sales calls to your "call center, ie founders" for $30 per call that lasts more than a minute. They're all supposed to be "warm leads" ie people who filled out a form on your website.
