Houston's real estate market shows remarkable resilience, even as we navigated some intense May storms! Severe weather and resulting power outages caused delays in some closings, but the market continued to see vigorous activity. With expanding inventory and persistent consumer demand, it's clear that Houston's real estate market is thriving. While the storms did lead to a slight dip in single-family home sales for May, it's important to focus on the positive. The average price of single-family Houston homes has reached record highs, and we’ve seen a significant surge in active listings compared to May 2023. This increase in inventory opens up a world of possibilities for potential buyers, making it an exciting time to explore the market. Now is a great time to take the plunge if you're on the fence about starting your real estate journey.
