We are excited to share that the research paper of our team members and project partners Laura Bauer, Stephan Kühnel, Ilja Nastjuk, and Stefan Sackmann was accepted for publication to the Pacific Asia Journal of the Association for Information Systems (PAJAIS). The paper titled “A Multiple-Method Study on Acceptance Factors of Economic Assessment Approaches for Information Security Investments” is currently published as a preprint before it will be finally released in one of the future issues of the journal. The paper studies factors influencing the acceptance of economic assessment approaches for information security investments, using a combination of semi-structured interviews, literature reviews, and focus group sessions. The resulting typology of acceptance factors covers five dimensions, relevant to different levels of a company and its environment. The results highlight the importance of the practical use of assessment approaches for information security investments and suggest relevant directions for future research.
