As millions of Americans gear up for Thanksgiving gatherings, MADD is reminding everyone to plan ahead and make safety a priority. With both holiday #travel and impaired driving on the rise, #Thanksgiving is one of the busiest and most dangerous times to be on the road. To keep the season joyous, it’s essential to arrange a safe ride home before the festivities begin. Whether it’s designating a sober driver, using a rideshare, or opting for public transportation, making the safe choice has never been easier. MADD is also encouraging Thanksgiving hosts to play an active role in keeping everyone safe. By helping guests plan a safe way home or offering them a place to stay, hosts can significantly reduce the risk of impaired driving crashes and make this holiday season safer for all. #ImpairedDrivingEndsHere

As we countdown to Thanksgiving, we want to remind everyone to prioritize safety on the roads. 🚗 Whether you're traveling near or far to celebrate with family and friends, here are some essential tips to ensure a safe journey: 🔵 Plan Ahead: Before you hit the road, map out your route and check for any potential traffic delays. Allow extra time for your travels. 🔵 Stay Sober: If you're planning to enjoy some holiday festivities, please designate a sober driver or use a rideshare service. Never drive under the influence. 🔵 Buckle Up: Make sure everyone in your vehicle is wearing their seatbelt. It’s one of the simplest and most effective ways to stay safe. 🔵 Observe Speed Limits: With increased traffic during the holidays, it’s essential to adhere to speed limits and adjust your driving according to road conditions. 🔵 Avoid Distractions: Stay focused on the road. Avoid using your phone or engaging in other distractions while driving. 🔵 Check Your Vehicle: Ensure your vehicle is in good condition. Check tire pressure, fluid levels, and brakes before embarking on your trip. 🔵 Keep Emergency Supplies: Carry an emergency kit that includes water, snacks, a flashlight, and first-aid supplies just in case. As we approach this holiday, let’s work together to keep our roads safe. Enjoy your Thanksgiving celebrations and drive safely!

Ah, Thanksgiving—a time for turkey, family, and... flat tires? Picture this: you're cruising down the highway, dreaming of pumpkin pie, when suddenly, your car starts to wobble. Yep, you've got a flat. First things first, find a safe spot to pull over. Your safety is the top priority, and no one wants to spend Thanksgiving in a roadside ditch. Once you're safely parked, you can swap out that tire for a spare in just a few minutes…right? Actually, how long has it been since you’ve changed a flat tire? When it's cold, while wearing dress clothes, with your kids fighting like pint-sized ninjas in the back of the van? Don’t be a hero. Between holiday stress and more drunk drivers on the road than normal, Thanksgiving isn’t the day to figure it all out — it's time to call in the pros. Whether it's AAA or another roadside assistance service, let them handle the dirty work while you keep your hands clean and your spirits high. While you wait, take a moment to reflect on what you're thankful for— like the fact that you wisely invested in a roadside assistance plan. And remember, the real hero is the one who makes it to the dinner table in one piece, ready to enjoy some turkey and stuffing (and the person who actually had to physically get you back on the road safe and sound). So sit back, relax, and let the professionals save the day. Happy Thanksgiving, and safe travels!

Moving into a new, downsized home doesn't mean downsizing your holiday spirit! 🎉 Here are some simple steps to make your Thanksgiving cozy and memorable, no matter your square footage: 1️⃣ Set the Scene: Use a festive table runner and cozy candles to create warmth. A smaller space can feel more intimate with the right lighting and decorations. 2️⃣ Simplify Seating: Arrange chairs or a bench for flexibility. You’re downsized, but your heart is still big enough for everyone to gather. 3️⃣ Delectable Dinner: Focus on crowd-pleasers. A simple turkey breast and a few favorite side dishes can keep the workload manageable, without skimping on flavor! 4️⃣ Embrace the Outdoors: Living in Orange County? Take advantage of the mild weather—add a few chairs outside for a breath of fresh air after the feast. 5️⃣ Create Connections: Have everyone share what they’re thankful for. It’s the little things that create lasting bonds. Remember, it's not the size of the home, but the love shared within it that makes Thanksgiving special. 🍂🤗 What’s your go-to trick for hosting in a smaller space?
