We know this is early, but as people start to think about the holidays we wanted to share some ways to plan ahead and have the best holiday season with your family. We find we get so busy sometimes we forget to enjoy it, so we are forced to sit and plan out holiday activities, especially with the kids. Here are some ideas from our family to yours 😀. 1) Check out some Christmas Markets, many of them have delicious home made baked goods and drinks and the atmosphere really brings the spirit. 2) Check out the Zoo lights. Always amazing! 3) Take a day trip to Banff and visit the Spirit or Christmas store and get some new decor and ornaments for the tree. 4) Buy tickets to the Polar Express train ride at Aspen Crossing in Mossleigh, only a 45-60 minute drive out of Calgary. 5) Nothing like a Griswold family Christmas. Get a tree cutting permit and take the family to cut down your very own tree for the holidays. 6) Search online for some cool advent calendars to suite every taste and style. We love the Christmas Lego and the chocolate ones 😀. Brings excitement each morning. 7) Don’t forget Elf on a Shelf comes in December and he gets creative in the middle of the night. 8) Take a sleigh ride in the mountains there are lots of options available. 9) Get old school and buy some nice Christmas cards, actually write in them, and mail them out to family and friends. 10) Watch some old Christmas classic movies while enjoying some home made baked Christmas cookies and treats. #Christmas #holidays #holidayactivities

Creating a Rest from the Christmas Chaos 🌱 The holiday season is often a whirlwind of activities—shopping, decorating, hosting, and endless to-do lists. While it’s a time of joy and togetherness, it can also bring stress and overwhelm. That’s why carving out intentional moments of rest is not just a luxury—it’s essential. How to Create a Rest from the Christmas Chaos: 🧠Prioritise Quiet Time: Set aside specific moments each day to pause. Whether it’s ten minutes of journaling, a walk outside, or sipping tea in silence, these moments can ground you amidst the hustle. ✅Set Boundaries: Say yes to the events that truly bring you joy and decline those that feel more like obligations. It’s okay to prioritise your well-being. 🌀Simplify Your Holiday Approach: You don’t need to do it all. Focus on what matters most—whether that’s fewer, more meaningful gifts or simpler decorations that feel festive without being overwhelming. By intentionally creating moments of rest, you give yourself the space to experience the joy, warmth, and connection that Christmas is truly about.

It’s that time of year again—the most wonderful time of the year, or so the song goes! But for many, the holiday season can feel more overwhelming than joyful. Whether it’s the stress of digging out decorations or the pressure of hosting, it’s easy to feel pulled in too many directions. This year, let’s change that narrative!Embrace the holiday spirit without the chaos. 🔹 SET THE TONE Make a list of the must haves for the holiday. Pick one or two and really lean into them and enjoy them. I like to ask each of my family members what one thing or food or tradition they need to make it really feel like Christmas and I focus on making this part great- and letting some others be more casual or left off the list for this year. 🔹 SCHEDULE IT Create a cozy retreat for yourself to escape the holiday hustle. Maybe a reading nook, a coffee bar or a hot chocolate station. And schedule some time to relax and reflect. The only thing that matters is that it feels festive and relaxing for you! 🔹 OUTSOURCE IT The holidays are meant for enjoyment, not stress! Where can you outsource the tasks and maintain the joy? Wrapping services, decorating services, meal prep, house cleaning, organizing… and recruit the family to help too! Let’s revamp this holiday season together! #HolidayPlanning #ProfessionalOrganizer #StressFreeHolidays #OrganizedLife #JoyfulSeason
