North Carolina Association of CPAs (NCACPA)’s Post

📚✨ A big THANK YOU to NCACPA members who volunteer in classrooms, inspiring the next generation by sharing the diverse opportunities within the accounting profession! NCACPA is proud to partner with the AICPA and other state CPA societies for the Accounting Opportunities Experience campaign. Together, we’re bringing CPAs into high school classrooms—both in-person and virtually—to help students explore the rewarding careers available in accounting. 👩💻👨💼 And in case you missed it, Governor Cooper officially declared November 18–24, 2024, as "CPA Week" to recognize the vital contributions of CPAs to our state. Let's celebrate together! 🎉 #CPAWeek #NCACPAProud #FutureCPAs

NCACPA, this is such an inspiring initiative—huge kudos to everyone involved in bringing CPA opportunities to high school classrooms! Highlighting the diverse career paths within accounting is a great way to get students excited about the field, and it makes me think about how we can do something similar in the insurance industry. Insurance is often overlooked by younger generations, yet it offers a wide range of career possibilities—from underwriting and risk analysis to client advisory and tech innovations. Efforts like these could really help us reframe the narrative and show students how rewarding it is to work in an industry that impacts people's lives in meaningful ways. I’m curious: How do you see educational initiatives like this influencing other industries, such as insurance, where attracting and nurturing a pipeline of new talent is vital? I would love to hear your thoughts!
