As we enter this new era #JKAUFMANCONSULTING continues to push forward with a portfolio of new #coaching services. There are some key questions that must be discussed. One of those is: How do we think about Co-Creating Futures in this time of duress? Co-creating futures during times of duress involves embracing adaptability, collective resilience, and shared vision. Here’s how we can approach it meaningfully: Focus on Resilience and Flexibility: In volatile times, resilience and adaptability are crucial. Co-creating the future requires us to remain responsive to change, develop solutions that can evolve, and avoid rigid, one-size-fits-all strategies. Engage in Radical Collaboration: Times of duress demand we break down silos and engage broader perspectives. This includes involving voices traditionally left out, encouraging diverse thinking, and being open to unconventional alliances. Collaborative problem-solving brings strength through diversity. Anchor in Shared Values: Focusing on shared values provides stability when everything else feels uncertain. Identifying common goals, like equity, inclusion, or sustainability, grounds us and helps create a unifying vision. Embrace Purpose-Driven Innovation: Challenging periods often spark the need for innovation that serves a larger purpose. Co-creating futures means innovating not only for profit or efficiency but for social good, resilience, and empowerment. Prioritize Psychological Safety and Open Dialogue: People need spaces to voice their concerns, hopes, and ideas openly. By fostering psychological safety, we allow real collaboration and prevent fear from stalling creative solutions. Move from Control to Empowerment: In duress, there’s a temptation to centralize control. Instead, co-creating futures relies on empowering communities and organizations to participate actively in shaping what’s next. This empowerment builds trust and investment in the outcome. In essence, co-creating futures in challenging times isn’t about having all the answers but about uniting people around a flexible, value-driven vision that evolves as we learn. There were too many amazing takeaways from the 2024 Catalyst Awards Conference that I needed this second post. The conference ended with the dynamic group of leaders in the picture below. Last topic that was discussed-Beyond the Buzzword: Navigating DEI Through the Generations. I felt so re-energized by this conversation that I had to share all these insightful, profound, thought provoking takeaways with my network. ✨”Generations are not a monolith”. ✨”When you ask for help, no matter your age, it doesn’t undermine your experience” Na’kia Channey ✨ One third of Gen Z has mental health challenges. Employers need to listen in order for organizations to continue to grow. ✨ It’s not just enough for organizations to put us all in the same room together. It’s important for organizations to make spaces and opportunities to co-collaborate. “To truly get to where we need to go, we have to ask each other for help” Na’kia Channey ✨ Cross generational work places - every single leader needs to be self aware of their emotions in order to effectively lead their teams. Employee burnout is a result of a leader not being self aware. ✨ “You can only call yourself a leader if you can manage a diverse team” ✨”Systems are people” Ingrid Harb ✨ Find your “why” ❤️ Mike Boyd, Nationwide Lisa Kirk, Nationwide Giavonni Lucas, Nationwide Ingrid Harb, NOTA Inclusion Na’kia Channey, Google #CatalystAwards #theCatalystEffect #diversityequityinclusion

We are excited to announce our next speaker Isabelle LaCroix Vienneau The Unvarnished Truth: Authenticity and Its Impact on Incivility In a world where the term 'authenticity' is often thrown around in corporate circles, Isabelle LaCroix Vienneau invites you to pause and reflect: What does authenticity truly mean? How does its interpretation and implementation impact incivility in the workplace? Drawing inspiration from Simon Sinek's approach to looking at the 'why' behind actions, this keynote dives into the heart of authenticity. It's not just about being true to ourselves. It's about realizing how, under the label of being 'authentic,' unchecked actions can occur. It's about understanding the profound effects our genuine actions have on those around us and the culture we create. Explore the contrast between the ideals of authenticity promoted by organizations and the often contradictory reality behind the scenes. Discover the immense value of welcoming new perspectives and the questions they bring, essential for driving consistent growth across these 3 values: health, relationships, wealth and breaking free from entrenched ways of thinking. In this session, Isabelle doesn't just talk about change; she invites you to be the change. To look beyond fear and ego, and to embrace the discomfort that comes with discomfort, self-reflection, honest 360 dialogue, creating an environment where it's safe to have our moments, change what needs changing and most importantly take accountability by continuously reinventing to sustain the life in our systems. This isn't about pointing fingers; it's about looking in the mirror and asking ourselves how we can contribute to a more authentic, respectful, and thriving workplace. #disrupthrmoncton #disrupthr #speakerannouncement

Earlier this year I had the joy of hearing Cathy Thorpe speak inside the Spring community about Bold Kindness and I was so excited to invite her to dive deeper on the podcast. Today I am thrilled to share our conversation - the video version is now available on Spotify. It is an absolute honour of learning from such incredible women who have been doing ‘the work’ to improve systems and culture for so long - the wisdom! One of my favourite aspects of the Nurse Next Door company culture is that employees are encouraged to take time off for pet emergencies or sickness, just like for their children. That is to say there is #radicalflexibility and #trust built into the culture. Ep 02: Empowering Leadership with Bold Kindness: CEO Cathy Thorpe's Journey to Transforming Workplace Culture Key Points Discussed: ✨ Bold Kindness: The philosophy behind Cathy's leadership style and its role in creating self-led leaders. ✨ Self-Led Culture: The impact of fostering a culture where employees are self-directed. ✨ Personal Growth: Cathy's insights on continuous personal development and self-led leadership. ✨ Work-Life Balance: How personal experiences, like Cathy's journey through her late husband's illness, reshaped her approach to leadership and family life. ✨ Global Expansion: Nurse Next Door's growth under Cathy's leadership, including expansion into international markets. ✨ Employee Engagement: The importance of knowing employees' dreams and goals to foster a supportive and engaging work environment. TLDR: Cathy Thorpe shares her philosophy of "Bold Kindness" and how it has helped Nurse Next Door create a thriving, self-led culture while expanding globally. Her approach emphasizes continuous personal growth, employee engagement, and integrating personal and professional lives for true work-life balance. #boldkindness #selfledculture #worklifebalance

"Chaos is inevitable, but thriving in it is a choice." As we draw close to 2024, I had the incredible honour of speaking at Australia's largest storytelling event on the Panel topic "Leaders Who Flourish in Chaos." A huge thank you to Elijah D'souza for hosting such a meaningful panel and to my fellow panelists Safiollah Heidari, Fotini Pratis, Simon for their powerful insights. Sharing the stage with you all and being part of this incredible experience was truly humbling. If you have missed it here are some of key messages I shared through my stories from my personal life, career and building BibVault 1 ) Self-awareness is your compass: Knowing yourself helps you respond, not just react. Actionable tip - follow GEM framework to start with Gratitude, Empathy and Mindfulness - credit - The Resilience Project 2 ) Build your support system: Surround yourself with people who support regardless where you are at, People who inspire, challenge, and uplift you. Actionable tip - The support network could be from your friends, community you live in, business community. Ask, have tough, open conversations and build a valuable bond. 3) Wellness is non-negotiable: Small, consistent actions lead to big results in physical and mental health. As some one said Startup do fail, but start up founders should not. Actionable tip - Pick up your favourite sport and build your physical, mental, social health through that. Bonus - Don’t forget to have fun: Laughter and joy are just as important as strategy and execution. Actionable tip - Drop your thick ego at times to bring out your inner child Storytelling is such a vital tool - it connects us, inspires action, and fosters resilience in times of uncertainty. Glad many from audience could relate and stayed back to have some deeper conversations. Thanks to Devipriya Selvaraj and the whole team in making the journey more beautiful amidst of all chaos. 🤝 Trust is an essential, yet complex part of our daily interactions and can be felt at varying intensities. When trust levels are high, operations become seamless, which is why it is imperative to establish trust within our teams and organizations. Every conversation, every meeting, and every project presents a unique opportunity to either build, maintain, or diminish trust. This understanding underscores the importance of being intentional in our interactions. Our actions, our words, and even our approach to humor at work play a pivotal role in crafting an environment of trust. On this week’s episode of Great Mondays Radio, Dr. Brian Harman, MBA explores the discrepancy between perception and action. How often do we genuinely contribute to a culture of trust? Are our efforts as effective as we perceive them to be? Join us this week to hear more about initiating conversations with your colleagues, seeking feedback, and building a collaborative and productive work environment. #GreatMondaysRadio #companyculture #trustbuilding #intentionalconversations

"At the end of the day, your feet should be dirty, your hair messy, and your eyes sparkling." I still remember the CEO I asked during our first meeting, "What's your vision?" and he said, "To make a lot of money!" "And what's your mission?" I tried again, and he replied, "Well, monetization!" In the past year, I had quite a few days when I lost my 'why,' woke up in the morning with tears in my eyes, got ready on autopilot, and set off for another long day, just waiting for the day to end, hoping maybe some comfort would be waiting at the end of it. As the months passed, I understood more and more what all the research keeps showing: that the most powerful engine for our motivation is our 'why.' Even if we are physically exhausted, even if we are unfocused and everything around us is unclear, even if we lack emotional support and feel lonely... as long as we give ourselves a reason to get up in the morning, to get out of bed and do our best, we will find the strength to keep going, function well, positively impact ourselves and those around us, and promote the goals we see as important. This week was quite intense; On Sunday, I worked on reducing post-trauma among soldiers and preserving functional continuity in IDF combat teams. On Monday, I connected people working together so they could successfully develop a medical product that also aids in the rehabilitation of war-wounded soldiers, and feel good while coming to work everyday. On Tuesday, I helped elevate a group of team leaders to extend their circle of influence so they could understand they have the privilege and ability to improve their company's organizational culture and succeed together. On Wednesday, I provided individual counseling to a group of managers whose employees were murdered at the Nova festival, and they are still picking up the pieces. And yesterday... yesterday, I did loads of laundry and cooked for three weird and amusing teenagers😊 In the midst of the painful and chaotic reality in which we live, each of us has something we can do to make a positive impact on ourselves, on our immediate circle, or on the wider circles around us—each of us. We just have to try to go to sleep at night with a dream and wake up every morning with a purpose. #leadership #startwithwhy #management #teambuilding #hr
