With their rich heritage, unparalleled flavors, and commitment to authenticity, these products offer a taste of Italy's vibrant culture and culinary traditions. Campanian wine has been gaining recognition and popularity in the US market in recent years, thanks to its diverse range of grape varieties, unique terroir, and exceptional quality. According to a report by Grand View Research, Inc., the global wine market is projected to reach $444.93 billion by 2027, driven by factors such as changing consumer preferences, growing disposable incomes, and increasing demand for premium and organic wines. https://lnkd.in/ddaMqVkw Here is a new article by Irem Eren WA, DipWSET about Turkish Wine Market. The article overall gives the point of view of producers, production and volume statistics for Turkey. With a recent touch base at https://lnkd.in/drytUtJQ gathering more than 300 wine sector enthusiasts, many of us are aware that there is an upcoming tipping point. there were many interesting and bringing together all parts of industry, academics, issues, and problems as well as unique talks from JancisRobinson.com. We are aware that there are many paradoxal problems and there is the tightened regulatory environment. But there is a big growth of interest toward production. The producers' number which is more than 190+ at the moment (in the article it was given as 150 wineries which I believe is a past figure and should be checked from TAPD https://lnkd.in/d3p4DGzE web site) shows the growing interest towards wine production. The country is so rich in terms of biodiversity and indigenous varieties that these are solely interesting for not only wine enthusiasts but for any scholar or entity interested in sustainability climate change, water free viticulture examples. I would also like to mention that there is around 3+8=11 % of all grape production used for alcoholic beverages production 3% being wine and 8% being Turkey's geographic indicated drink Rakı. In the article this figure was mentioned as 15% which does not actively reflect the figure of wine grapes production but the capacity of wine grapes in statistical terms. Thank you Meininger's International for giving attention to Turkey's potential, thankyou Irem Eren WA, DipWSET. the roads are made by walking. 👌

💡🍇📣 What are some new ideas and fresh perspectives for wine marketing? - The Asian market presents both challenges and opportunities for European wines, with a specific emphasis on the need for targeted market strategies to capture interest in this region. [3] - Sustainability and biodiversity in viticulture are becoming increasingly important, influencing consumer choices and driving trends toward more environmentally friendly wine production practices. [4], [9] - There is a rising demand for wines from lesser-known regions, such as Roussillon in France and Uruguay for Albariño, suggesting a growing consumer interest in exploring new flavors and wine regions beyond the traditional favorites. [7], [9] - The digital transformation and access to wine knowledge are reshaping consumer behavior, with technology and trusted curators playing a significant role in educating and guiding wine choices, especially among younger legal drinking age consumers. [6] - Premiumization continues in the wine industry, albeit with signs of slowing, indicating that while consumers are still willing to pay more for perceived quality, there may be limits to how far this trend can extend, particularly influenced by the preferences of younger generations like Millennials and Gen Z. 𝑨𝒍𝒚𝒔𝒆𝒊 𝑪𝒖𝒓𝒊𝒐𝒔𝒊𝒕𝒚 𝑪𝒐𝒓𝒏𝒆𝒓 𝐃𝐎 𝐘𝐎𝐔 𝐊𝐍𝐎𝐖 𝐓𝐇𝐀𝐓? The European certifications PDO and PGI for excellent quality Food and Wine products have the purpose of simplifying the classification of those products that meet certain requirements. The simplification mainly concerns Italian wines. The Italian nomenclature, however, is still widely used and this is why you may still read these abbreviations on an Italian wine bottle: 𝐷𝑂𝐶𝐺 = 𝐶𝑜𝑛𝑡𝑟𝑜𝑙𝑙𝑒𝑑 𝑎𝑛𝑑 𝐺𝑢𝑎𝑟𝑎𝑛𝑡𝑒𝑒𝑑 𝐷𝑒𝑠𝑖𝑔𝑛𝑎𝑡𝑖𝑜𝑛 𝑜𝑓 𝑂𝑟𝑖𝑔𝑖𝑛 (𝑝𝑎𝑟𝑡 𝑜𝑓 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝐸𝑢𝑟𝑜𝑝𝑒𝑎𝑛 𝑃𝐷𝑂); the regulations for DOCG wines are tighter and more restrictive (e.g. maximum permitted grape yields are lower, each wine must pass an in-depth technical analysis and tasting). 𝐷𝑂𝐶 = 𝐶𝑜𝑛𝑡𝑟𝑜𝑙𝑙𝑒𝑑 𝐷𝑒𝑠𝑖𝑔𝑛𝑎𝑡𝑖𝑜𝑛 𝑜𝑓 𝑂𝑟𝑖𝑔𝑖𝑛 (𝑝𝑎𝑟𝑡 𝑜𝑓 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝐸𝑢𝑟𝑜𝑝𝑒𝑎𝑛 𝑃𝐷𝑂); this regulation delimits the production area, wine color, permitted grape varieties and max/min proportions, styles of wine, max/min alcohol levels as well as permitted or mandated viticultural, vinification and maturation techniques. 𝐼𝐺𝑇 = 𝑇𝑦𝑝𝑖𝑐𝑎𝑙 𝐺𝑒𝑜𝑔𝑟𝑎𝑝ℎ𝑖𝑐𝑎𝑙 𝐼𝑛𝑑𝑖𝑐𝑎𝑡𝑖𝑜𝑛 (𝑝𝑎𝑟𝑡 𝑜𝑓 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝐸𝑢𝑟𝑜𝑝𝑒𝑎𝑛 𝑃𝐺𝐼); the IGT focuses on the region of origin, rather than grape varieties or wine styles. #Alysei #italianfood #italianwine #foodquality
