Today is World Mental Health Day, with this year's focus aimed at work place mental health 🌱 The working environment is a leading cause of stress, burnout & anxiety, all of which can negatively impact mental health 🧠 The construction industry in particular sees a significant number of people experience negative mental health each year 👷♂️ Today it's important to recognise that improving mental health in the work place starts with open conversations and working to remove the negative stigma associated with poor mental health 🗣️ The more comfortable we feel talking about mental health at work, the more likely these issues are to be positively addressed 🤝 We all have a role to play in improving mental health awareness within our organisations and communities 🫂 #WorldMentalHealthDay2024 #WorkPlaceMentalHealth #RemoveTheStigma #LetsTalkMentalHealth #MatesInMind #MentalHealthAwareness #HealthIsWealth

🌿 World Mental Health Day: Let’s Break the Silence 🌿 Today, on #WorldMentalHealthDay, I want to share something personal. In the past, I experienced working with a toxic manager that took a serious toll on my mental health. It was a tough time, and I struggled with feelings of anxiety and depression. Mental health in the workplace matters. It’s important to recognize the signs of burnout, toxic environments, and stress. No one should feel ashamed to speak up, seek help, or make a change when their mental well-being is at risk. Let’s continue to break the stigma surrounding mental health, especially in professional settings. If you’re going through something similar, know that you’re not alone—and that there are resources and support available. Take care of your mind as much as you would your body. 💚 #MentalHealthMatters #BreakTheStigma #WorkplaceWellness #YouAreNotAlone

This October, let’s talk about something crucial: mental health. The theme for Mental Health Month is “Let’s Talk About It”, encourages us to have open conversations about mental well-being and to seek help when needed. By talking about mental health, we break down the stigma and build a more supportive environment for those in need. 🧠💬 Early intervention is key. Whether it's a relationship breakdown, poor sleep, substance use, or struggling with daily tasks, recognising the signs can be tough – sometimes those close to us will notice first. Seeking help is a sign of strength, not weakness, and it's important to remember that prioritising your mental health is as crucial as caring for your physical health. Need advice? Start by talking to your doctor, reach out to services like Lifeline or Beyond Blue, and lean on supportive loved ones. Building healthy habits like good sleep, nature walks, and meaningful activities can make a huge difference. At Rarekind, we’ve spent 38 years helping extraordinary people thrive. Let’s continue to build workplaces where everyone feels supported. #MentalHealthMonth #SafeWorkMonth #BreakTheStigma #PeopleAndCulture #TheRarekind 👇 How do you know when it's time to seek help for your mental health?
