In 2025, CLYDE will celebrate its 10th year as an LGBTQ-owned business. Since day one, we have placed DEI at the heart of our work—both internally and with our major clients, including the NIH, Gates MRI, Bristol Myers Squibb Foundation, and Gilead. As I’ve said many times before, inclusivity is essential for society, strengthening individuals, communities, and, by extension, the workplace. Simply put, it’s smart business. Globally, 80% of companies are increasing their DEI spending (BCG). In the U.S., however, we are facing a toxic backlash—from boardrooms to courtrooms. American companies, and the communicators who serve them, must speak truth to power. The facts are clear: A strong sense of belonging can boost job performance by 56%, reduce turnover risk by 50%, and cut sick days by 75%, potentially saving a client with over 10,000 employees more than $52 million annually (Upside). In our creativity-driven industry, inclusive cultures are six times more innovative and agile. They increase innovation by 20% and reduce risk by 30% (Deloitte). The DEI is Good for Everyone campaign is vital. We are proud to partner with organizations including the Diversity Action Alliance, the Hispanic Public Relations Association, the Institute for Public Relations, The LAGRANT Foundation, the Museum of PR, the National Black Public Relations Society, Page, and the PR Council. Join us in spreading the message: DEI is Good for Everyone. Want to learn more? We all know that the advertising industry is a space of creativity and innovation, but it's also one where Black and Brown people have been historically underrepresented and often excluded from major events like the Cannes Lions. This lack of representation not only stifles diversity of thought but also perpetuates a cycle of inequality within the industry. As we approach Juneteenth, we reflect on the long journey towards freedom and equality. This is a powerful reminder of the progress we've made, the progress currently being threatened, and the work that still needs to be done. In honor of Juneteenth and our commitment to fostering a more inclusive advertising industry, Assembly Global is proud to co-host Kickback on the Croisette #KOC2024 with /prompt. in Cannes during the Cannes Lions. This event is not just a celebration but a call to action—an opportunity to create pathways to diversity, amplify Black voices, and ensure that the future of advertising is inclusive and equitable. We believe that diversity drives creativity and innovation. By bringing together industry leaders, creators, and advocates, we aim to spark meaningful conversations and build lasting connections that will pave the way for a more diverse and inclusive industry. Big thank you to Destiny K. Chambers for spearheading this initiative in Cannes 3 years ago. I hope you can join us. ❤️ AHF honours Juneteenth today and every day! June 19th, 2024 marks the 159th anniversary of Juneteenth. It commemorates the emancipation of enslaved people. The protests for Black lives in 2020 sparked larger efforts to recognize Juneteenth within workplaces. Here is how your organization can support and honour Juneteenth: ✨ Centre the voices of systemically excluded communities when creating products, programs, and services. Consult diverse voices, listen, and understand their needs and experiences. 📚 Learn about history, race, and equity. Enhance cross-cultural, anti-racism, anti-oppression, and equity competencies with perspective, empathy, and curiosity. 💼 Create inclusive workplaces that retain Black talent. Focus on creating psychological safety and conditions for individuals to thrive. ⭐ Support Black-owned organizations and partner with Black-led organizations. Pay equitably for their expertise and services. Together, we can create workplaces that embrace diversity and celebrate inclusivity. ✊🏿✊🏾✊🏽 🔖 Source: Excerpts from Mareisha N. Reese, President and Chief Operating Officer, The Winters Group (June 16, 2022) "Hey Corporate America, This (And Every) Juneteenth, Don't Capitalize on Black Culture", The Inclusion Solution. #AccelerateHerFuture #Juneteenth #BlackHistory #Freedom #InclusionMatters #TogetherWeStand #Juneteenth2024 #JuneteenthCelebration #SupportBlackBusinesses

🍁 Celebrating Strength & Health in Black Canadian Women this Black History Month 🍁 In Canada, we’re proud of our diversity but must acknowledge the health disparities faced by Black women. Today, we celebrate Black Girls Day Off—a powerful reminder of the importance of rest, self-care, and the pursuit of health equity for Black women. In a world where the demands of work often overshadow our need to recharge, this day serves as a vital opportunity to uplift our voices and address systemic inequities. **Why Health Equity Matters** Health equity means ensuring that everyone, regardless of race, gender, or socioeconomic status, has access to the resources they need for optimal health. For Black women, this often means confronting a myriad of challenges, from disparities in healthcare access and outcomes to the stressors of navigating predominantly white workplaces. **Taking a Stand for Our Well-Being** On this Black Girls Day Off, let’s prioritize our well-being. Whether it’s taking a day to relax, spending time with loved ones, or engaging in activities that nourish our souls, it’s crucial to recognize that our health is foundational to our success. **Advocating for Change** As we take this day for ourselves, let’s also reflect on how we can advocate for systemic change. By raising awareness about the disparities we face and supporting policies that promote health equity, we can pave the way for a future where all Black women thrive—both in and out of the workplace. **Join the Movement** Let this day inspire you to not only take the time you deserve but also to stand in solidarity with those fighting for health equity. Share your experiences, uplift others, and commit to making health a priority. Together, we can create a world where Black girls and women are empowered to take their days off without guilt, knowing that our health and happiness are essential to the fabric of our communities. **Happy Black Girls Day Off!** 🌼✨ #BlackGirlsDayOff #HealthEquity #SelfCare #Wellness #BlackWomenMatter

So, you know how you attend a conference, gain lots of insight and new information, and leave with all the best intentions to actually do something with that information?? Then, you go back home to your regular life, get back into your busy routine, and none of those new insights ever see the light of day. We wanted to try something different this year to see if we could interrupt this loop for those that attended our Black Woman Leading LIVE! Conference two weeks ago. On the last day of the conference, I facilitated an action planning session where attendees identified one action item to implement based on their insights gained at the event. We scheduled a post-event community call two weeks after the event for accountability and support around that action item and told them that we would check in about their action item on the call. Well, that call was tonight! About 30% of our attendees came (approx 40 people), and they came ready to report their progress! The intentionality made a difference! They celebrated each other. and it gave them a moment to re-connect and get re-energized to sustain their momentum from the event. I think we'll keep this post-event call for future eventsand aim to increase the participation. It was such an engaging and encouraging vibe on the call! Mission accomplished! #bwllive

At Convatec, I have the privilege of serving as the Executive sponsor and ally for our Black Employee Network. As Black History Month comes to an end, I wanted to take a moment to thank all our colleagues involved in this year’s activity. Our 2024 theme was ‘Forever caring: unity in diversity’ helping to celebrate our black communities around the world and talk about issues of race, representation, and intersectionality. One area of focus is how we can foster an inclusive culture and ensure we are doing all we can to attract, retain, and develop talented colleagues. While talent is equally distributed, opportunity is not. Addressing this imbalance is a vital focus for us. Employee resource groups are a powerful part of life at Convatec and help elevate the voice of colleagues and energy of our teams to drive progress and change. We are committed to introducing improvements as we move along our own Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DE&I) and Wellbeing journey. #BlackHistoryMonth #BHM #WeAreConvatec #ForeverCaring #ForeverConvatec
