We all know that the advertising industry is a space of creativity and innovation, but it's also one where Black and Brown people have been historically underrepresented and often excluded from major events like the Cannes Lions. This lack of representation not only stifles diversity of thought but also perpetuates a cycle of inequality within the industry. As we approach Juneteenth, we reflect on the long journey towards freedom and equality. This is a powerful reminder of the progress we've made, the progress currently being threatened, and the work that still needs to be done.
