Many General Recruiters Miss the Mark Recruiting Accounting or Finance. In my experience, it's the most underrated function of the business to staff up. It seems simple enough on the surface, but the results typically go as follows. Stop me if this sounds familiar. You have multiple Controller resumes get through screening calls for a Manager of Accounts Payable position for example. Recruiters pleading their case: 1. But they have AP all over their resume. 2. They have experience with our ERP system. 3. They said they oversaw AP on the screening call. Rejection after rejection, while weeks/months go by and no hope in sight. Hiring managers switch to screening all applicant resumes during their time off. Personally, going from "work-to-live" to "live-to-work." Work/life balance suffers across the rest of the department too. Responsibilities pile up and another resignation in the department happens. What's next?
