Public Accounting professionals are in high demand, but firms are having a hard time staffing their team. If you're hiring in the space, I'm sure you know these challenge all too well by now: 🛑 Talent from the "Top 10" aren't applying to job ads and it's going to take a heck of a lot to get them to go elsewhere. 🛑 Burn-out in this industry is real. Hours are long and the growth path of the career can be murky. 🛑 Salary expectations have gone up over the last few years. If you want a chance at the top industry talent, your team has to be willing to compete: ✅ Your recruiting has to be A-game! A job posting alone isn't going to get the right people in the door. ✅ Work-life balance, hybrid/ remote options, and a culture that values employee growth is HUGE. Candidates are sick of the churn and burn culture of the industry. ✅ Be ready to compete on salary. With the scarcity of talent, you have to pay to play to poach high-level accounting professionals. If you're looking for CHANGE in the industry, I happen to know a team doing just that (and they're hiring! 😉) If you're looking to BE the change in this industry, I'd love to work with you! Let's connect. 🤝 #publicaccounting #accountingmarket #CPA #accountant #accountinginsights #hiringtrends #hiringinsights #recruitingservices #recruiter #searchservices #searchteam #ROLINCStaffingandSearch

I'm going to let you in on a little secret about the Recruitment industry: the majority of Recruiters hate public accounting searches. There are a few reasons for this: 1) There is a severe talent shortage, and most of the top performers in the industry are already highly compensated. Many also have flexible/remote schedules. 2) Many Senior level candidates are actively looking to leave public accounting for better work-life balance in industry. 3) The candidates that are available are often so busy that it is difficult for them to take time to interview. So what can your firm do to attract talent? 1) Offering remote and hybrid options opens up the talent pool considerably. This is especially the case for Senior level roles that require limited hands-on supervision. If it's absolutely essential that associates work in-office, be prepared to pay above-market comp to attract candidates! 2) Hire based on potential, not years of experience. Give strong Seniors the opportunity to manage. Offer career development plans that provide a clear path to Director and Partner positions in the future. Also consider people whose experience spans different industries/sectors than you specialize in. 3) Hire in the off-season. Now is the time to be hiring Audit and Tax folks. Not right when you're coming up on September deadlines and busy season. This is the time when it's possible to get these people on the phone. In a few weeks, it will be too late! Personally I love Recruiting for public accounting and we are speaking to a wide plethora of candidates at the Senior, Manager and Director/Partner levels who are considering new opportunities! If your firm is hiring talent right now, let's have a confidential consultation to see if District Partners can help!

"I'm drowning in work, but hiring feels like a huge risk!" If you've ever felt uncertain about when to expand your team, you're not alone. This can lead to missed growth opportunities and financial strain. Here's how an accountant can provide clarity and support in making the right hiring decisions. 1. Your accountant can give you a detailed view of your financial standing. 2. Know if your future revenues can support additional salaries. 3. Evaluate the true cost of hiring versus the potential growth and efficiency gains. 4. Ensure you have the necessary funds to cover new hires without disrupting your current operations. 5. Understand tax credits and deductions related to hiring. With an accountant’s guidance, you can make informed hiring decisions that support your business's growth and stability. #accounting #hiring #finance

Can I Really Make $80K in a Year as a Solo Accounting Recruiter? Answers: https://lnkd.in/gCmM_QeQ #AccountingRecruiting #SoloShop #CareerGoals Hey everyone! 🤔 I’ve been mulling over a question about my financial goals as an accounting recruiter, and I could really use your insights. So here’s the scoop: I’m aiming to make $80K in the next 12 months by focusing on accounting recruiting. Here’s my background: I’ve got a few years of experience under my belt. In my previous role at a high-volume shop, I billed around $300K, taking home $150K. 💰 Now, on the flip side, I’m starting from scratch without a solid base of loyal clients. This has got me a bit concerned. I plan to leverage LinkedIn to find great candidates (particularly those from the big four or CPA backgrounds). The next step is cold emailing Controllers and Accounting Managers, hoping to get some job orders. Once I have those job orders, I’ll reach out to candidates via InMail to secure send-outs, and ideally, close those deals. I’m thinking about the numbers: with a 20% fee on salaries in the $80K-$100K range, that breaks down to a $16K fee for an $80K salary. If I can land 5 of thos...
