In the last couple of years we've made a conscious effort to embed kindness into our operating model at Unboxed. It's not one of our official values - more of a pillar that underpins them, like trust and humility. Making a conscious effort to be kind improves the quality of your life and those around you - it's good for people and it's good for business. Be kind to someone today. (Edit: Here's what that might look like https://lnkd.in/ew22C9gt) #WorldKindnessDay
Vicky Peel has been crucial in helping us understand the value of kindness. Here's a blog she wrote on the subject in 2022. https://unboxed.co/blog/kindness-in-the-workplace/
That's nice to see Martyn Evans. We actually adopted it as one of our four values a few years back - it came about after a very detailed employee consultation and I think is a part of the company I'm really proud of. It's an interesting one as something that is related to but distinct from Niceness - i've had some great conversations about them both, and would love to have another one with you sometime. I do love your values as well though! In particular Learning by Doing sounds brilliant to live by!
