Could you be kinder to yourself? Today is World Kindness Day, and yesterday I shared 10 ways to be kinder to others (https://lnkd.in/e75V5j83). But in a client workshop this morning, I was reminded that the first person you need to be kind to is yourself. So, I booked myself a manicure at Shoreditch Nails – a small act, but one that shows self-care. I also took 10 minutes to write down everything I’ve accomplished this year. It’s all too easy to dwell on perceived failures or shortcomings without recognising the real positive change we’re creating. Today, I felt truly grateful for the impact I continue to make through Token Man and Token Man Consulting. Reconnecting men with their feelings and supporting their journeys towards inclusivity is genuinely life-changing. I’m confident that this work will lead to more inclusive, diverse, and equitable workplaces – and, ultimately, a better society. For example, seeing members of our Token Man Braintrust using the feelings wheel exercise with their own teams and reporting how it has deepened their relationships has been so rewarding. You’re so right! Kindness in fact starts with yourself. Thanks for the reminder 😊
