One week until the next cohort launches, four spaces left! I could tell you all about it, but I'd rather give that space to the incredible Anna Gasparian (Manager, Reporting & Analytics) to share her experience from the last cohort: ****************** I highly recommend Claire Fry’s Vocal Confidence course. Each session provided an incredible opportunity to learn from Claire’s expertise as a voice actor. Over eight weeks, she taught us strategies and techniques aimed at communicating impactfully and effectively. Breathing techniques, voice warm-ups, setting the right tone before a presentation or meeting, and aligning message content with its delivery—these are just a few areas where I gained a wealth of knowledge from Claire. During each session, I practiced what I learned, pushed myself out of my comfort zone, and received immediate, professional, and constructive feedback. I appreciated how Claire focused on helping each participant leverage our unique strengths. My favorite take away from the course is that “vocal confidence is not about sounding like someone else who’s more confident than you; it’s about having the confidence to sound like yourself." This is the best self-development course I've ever taken. ****************** If you're ready to show up, work hard, practice diligently and grow your communication skills fast (the way Anna did) then you can find more information at the link below. #VocalConfidence #LearnToLoveYourVoice #PublicSpeaking #CommunicationSkills #SpeakerTraining #Testimonial

I used these two methods to overcome my stage fright They helped me to become an inspiration to people 1. Visualization Techniques - Before stepping on stage - Take a few moments to visualize a successful speech. - Imagine the audience reacting positively, and see yourself delivering your points confidently and smoothly. - Visualization helps reduce anxiety and prepares your mind for success. 2. Gradual Exposure - Start small and gradually increase the size of your audience. - Begin by practicing your speeches in front of a mirror, (then move to a small group of friends or family.) - As you become more comfortable, increase your audience size, (which will help you build confidence progressively.) #PublicSpeaking #confidence #personaldevelopment #stagefright

The Birth of a New PLUS Feedback Pattern It has become a rare event. Having explored and covered the entire field of content, delivery, and slides for the last 15 years, it is, indeed, rare for a new feedback pattern to emerge. What has happened? My second-time participant, Anastasiia Knysh from METRO.digital, gave a beautiful, pathos-filled speech about her difficult childhood dream. At one point, she relived a dialogue with her father where he said, "I want you to have a better life than me." In the feedback round, her colleague Alexander Stepannikov pointed out that he loved her father's words because they were like a 'movie line.' Baam!! The new PLUS feedback pattern: movie line. Analyzing a series of famous movie lines, most of them have three characteristics in common: unexpected, emotional, and inspiring. Next to Anastasiia's line, I added two of my favorite 'movie lines' from my training sessions. The examples are personal and evocative, showing that powerful, memorable lines can come from anyone and anywhere, not just from famous movies. As a public speaker, give more importance to crafting compelling and meaningful phrases in your talks. Create your own movie lines. #fminsights #storytelling #presentations #rhetoric #tedtalks #publicspeaking

Overcoming the fear of presenting has been a lifelong journey for me. As a naturally shy person, I’ve pushed myself outside my comfort zone by taking: 🎭 drama classes to learn improv techniques... 🎤speech and debate to strengthen my confidence... 📻radio courses & 🎶choir to develop my voice... These experiences helped me to grow, and eventually, I found myself speaking in front of 𝐡𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐫𝐞𝐝𝐬 of people. However, it wasn’t until I read Matt Abrahams’ book 𝐓𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐤 𝐅𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫, 𝐓𝐚𝐥𝐤 𝐒𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐞𝐫 that I uncovered one of the most powerful tools to combat nerves: 🔓Prioritizing Connection Over Perfection. Abrahams emphasizes the importance of building a connection with your audience, which resonated deeply with me. Everything changes when I focus on engaging with the people in front of me instead of worrying about delivering the “perfect” presentation. It becomes less about my performance and more about creating a shared experience. This simple shift has allowed me to feel more authentic and grounded. Directing my energy toward understanding and meeting my listener's needs takes the pressure off me, and my listeners respond better. If fear of presenting is something you struggle with, I highly recommend this approach—it’s a game-changer! #PresentationSkills #PublicSpeaking #OvercomeFear #CommunicationSkills #Adaptability #ProfessionalDevelopment #ThinkFasterTalkSmarter

Presenting to a camera is hard! Many speakers make the mistake of just showing up, expecting to do a good job. Or, they assume it's the same as presenting to an audience, when it's not. If you want to be impactful on camera, rehearsal is crucial. Here is the fantastic John Kenel in action rehearsing for some upcoming studio work. #nakedaudience #publicspeaking #presentationskills #communication #confidence #professionaldevelopment

The "power of perspective" is always an important element to remember in the creative process. Not only in the choices I make in my reads, but also within the context of learning about the craft. Classes and workshops offer a great chance to mix it up with your peers and to receive information in ways that you may not have considered previously. You never know how a slight shift in perspective, can radically change your mindset and approach...something I love about being in a creative industry. #voiceover #voiceacting #perspective

"Tony Robbins is one of the most impactful speakers of our time. His energy is infectious, but it’s not just his passion that keeps audiences engaged—it’s his ability to connect with each person in the room. Robbins doesn’t speak to his audience; he speaks with them, using a combination of powerful gestures, personal stories, and active audience participation. His success as a speaker lies in his ability to make every listener feel like the conversation is just for them.” Engaging your audience is more than just delivering great content—it’s about building a connection. Here are some tips inspired by acting and theatre techniques that can help you captivate your audience from start to finish: 1. Ask Thought-Provoking Questions – Just like a great actor draws their audience into the story, you can pull your audience into your message by asking questions. Start with open-ended ones that invite reflection or participation. This transforms a one-way speech into an interactive conversation, making your audience feel involved. 2. Read the Room – Actors are trained to read the energy of the audience and adjust their performance accordingly. As a speaker, you can do the same. Pay attention to body language—are they leaning in? Nodding? If your audience seems disengaged, adjust your pacing, tone, or even address them directly with a question or a joke to recapture their attention. 3. Use Storytelling Techniques – Just like actors, great speakers use storytelling to emotionally engage their audience. Share personal stories or anecdotes to create an emotional connection. This makes your message memorable and relatable. 4. Engage the Senses – Theatre is all about sensory engagement, and you can borrow this principle for your presentations. Use vivid language to paint pictures in your audience’s minds, vary your vocal pitch to add emotion and energy, and even engage them through sound (questions, applause) or sight (visual aids). 5. Break the Fourth Wall – In acting, the “fourth wall” is the invisible barrier between actors and the audience. Breaking it means directly addressing or interacting with the audience. Do the same in your speech—ask for their opinions, involve them in an activity, or use humor to create rapport. This makes your presentation feel personal and dynamic. When you combine these techniques with passion and preparation, your audience will be more than just listeners—they’ll be active participants in your message. #LeadershipCommunication #Presence #StagePresence"
