Unlike juicing, blending keeps all the good stuff intact, so you’re fueling your body with everything nature intended. We are not living to eat, we are eating to live. This is what I understood after joining ashram a few years back to understand more about a healthy lifestyle. Fundamentally, our kitchen and cooking needs to be simple with essentials. There was a family in one of my previous houses. We were neighbors for many years. Both the wife and husband were overweight. When she said she had joined baking classes, my first thought was, is it needed for this family? The entire family along with two kids was affected because of her choice. She really makes delicious varieties. The reason I am writing this post is, I saw the kid recently. During COVID, when we were in lockdown, we used to have online meet-ups with friends. One of my friends said she was cooking passionately and feeding the family multiple varieties. I said, you are harming your family. Without understanding what I said, she got angry and stopped talking to me. During lockdown, there was no opportunity to move the body itself, over eating on top of it? How come the body burns calories? Simple logic. It’s difficult to control your appetite by seeing many food varieties, but it is required. I am repeating, we are not living to eat, we are eating to live. Keep it simple , eat nutritious food and live healthily. #health #lifestyle #personaldevelopment

Food and meal prep has expanded to more than just getting your kids lunch ready for school. Bringing your lunch to work has many benefits as well. You can save money by not going out to lunch or having food delivered to the office everyday. Also, prepping food saves time when you pack your lunch in the morning. Another great benefit is creating a healthier lifestyle with fresh fruits, veggies and cleaner foods free of artificial ingredients. This can also help your body function to it's fullest at work. If food prep seems intimidating start small with prepping snacks for the week and continue to build from there. Your budget and your body can benefit from this in the long run.
