"Where attention goes, results follow!" This is an age-old truth. Here's an example to illustrate this point. I regularly watch a Lithuanian national 📺 show called "Tą pačią dieną gimę" ("Born on the Same Day") every Thursday. The show features three individuals sharing their life stories, usually with one being ⭐a well-known Lithuanian figure. A week ago, the episode featured a TV star from Lithuania, a woman narrating her experiences. And, to my great surprise, the third storyteller was none other than Rinardas Goda, the owner of our company. Typically, in previous episodes, the spotlight has been on the 'star' of the show. However, this time, my attention was divided between two stories, with a significant focus on Rinardas's life story- he is our companies star, but not many know him in Lithuania yet. Nonetheless, his story left a lasting impression on me. Bigger than the TV stars told story. This principle applies universally - in daily work, business, and personal life: where 👀attention is directed, the greatest results 💪🏼are achieved. Would you agree? #Tegrateam #storytelling #attention

In today's Daily Tip, hosted by Lillian Cauldwell and sponsored by the Passionate World Talk Radio Network, Ms. Cauldwell emphasizes the importance of preparing the room for podcast recording. Proper lighting is crucial. Potential guests are advised to research the appropriate lighting techniques for video setup. Typically, in a TV station, lights are positioned directly above the guest and host or behind the cameras. The lights should be bright enough to clearly illuminate the face without overwhelming it. Additionally, attention to makeup and jewelry is important as it conveys professionalism to the audience. Posture also matters; women often sit with both legs to one side, while men should keep both feet on the ground. We also extend our thanks to T.R. Garland for his insightful comment on LinkedIn regarding our previous Daily Tip: "Such a comprehensive guide to creating a welcome letter for podcast guests! Great work!"

Fascinating Discussion on Copyright & Legal Essentials for Creatives! Great conversation with Christopher Hibma about copyrights and the critical legal points that all production companies and artists should be aware of!
Marhaba, friends and happy Friday. Episode 06 has dropped today from the digital series I was commissioned to host and produce for Ettijahat-Independent Culture called "Maharat: Producing in Unproductive Times". Check out this month's episode featuring my River Conversation with Joseph Haj, Artistic Director of the Guthrie Theater and Philip Bither, Senior Curator of the Performing Arts at the Walker Art Center – both in Minneapolis. On this episode we explored the art of co-producing... something that the Walker and the Guthrie have previously done as they've presented work from the Arab region, particularly the work of Ali Chahrour. Together, we chat about some organizing principles of producing live performance with a partner including: starting small, building your network, finding an experienced partner, acknowledging cultural differences and building cultural literacy. Click on the link below to listen to the podcast version of our conversation containing our entire River Conversation or navigate to the filmed version to see what our Minneapolis-based film crew put together with a Beirut-based post-production team in 2021/22. Just two episodes left! Coming up I'll chat with rima mismar from AFAC - The Arab Fund for Arts and Culture and Christine Kuan from Creative Capital about "Finding the Funding". Our final episode will feature an informative conversation with attorney Mahmoud Othman from Cairo about "Protecting Your Rights". I'd love to hear your thoughts about these episodes! Comments welcomed below. Ma'a Salama!

It was great to be on the Radio 4 Sunday programme at the weekend, talking about humanism and the new 'What I Believe' book, containing interviews with dozens of fascinating humanists about their worldviews, which originally went out as the 'What I Believe' podcast. The contributors who appear in this volume are all humanists and the vast majority are members of Humanists UK and so of course they have many ideas in common. A desire to know the world and seek out truth; a respect for both human creativity and human reason; a humanitarianism that seeks to reach across all boundaries and borders; an appreciation of human diversity, not just as the necessary consequence of human freedom (another common value), but as something beautiful and fascinating in itself. But the routes by which they arrived at their beliefs are diverse, the worlds in which they practise their professions have shaped their values and beliefs in particular ways, and they do have different priorities from each other. They differed on questions like how to understand the balance of freedom and equality, of reason and emotion, of universal ethics and moral relativism, and of personal responsibility and serendipity in the shaping of our destinies. https://lnkd.in/eA_qEM3y
