Tech clients, especially challenger brands, tend to be focused on the media opps their PR function generates. I get it. The issue is, securing the opp is one thing, nailing it is another. As with Presidential debates, in media interviews, prep is everything. We use the resource below for clients. It also appeared the book I co-wrote with Borjana Slipicevic. You can have it for free. Rambling answers, deer-in-the-headlights looks, cringe-worthy gaffes - I've seen it all from executives who thought they could "handle it." But here's the thing: even the most experienced spokesperson can get tripped up by a tough question or a high-pressure situation. Media training isn't just for newbies.
