What's wrong with job boards? A common area of complaint on our calls with jobseekers is job boards- too many clicks, pop-ups, low quality or fake jobs, too many needing accounts to be created and so on. As such a key component to job hunting these platforms need to do better- which job boards do you recommend? What improvements would you like to see to improve the job seeking experience? #jobboards

FIVE JOB HUNTING TIPS FROM A JOB HUNTER: 1️⃣ Work super hard on your resume. Swooped makes an amazing resume builder tool that speeds up applying to open roles, customizing your resume for each job description, job tracker, etc. Not paid to say it. 😊 2️⃣ Mirror your resume on your LinkedIn profile. You might adapt it a bit, but keep it fresh and aligned overall. 👍 3️⃣ Connect with everyone you know on LinkedIn. The best opportunities often come from within your network; if your network is super-small, the opportunities will be, too. Don't be afraid to follow or connect with new folks, too! 🤝 4️⃣ Comment on good, value-added content on LinkedIn. Ask a question, praise their humor, or add more context. The point is to give back and not just consume. Givers get opportunities. 💪 5️⃣ Push before asking for a push. Have you ever seen someone struggling to move a heavy object? People often rush over to help as they see the strain, but they rarely rush to help someone who's not even attempting the lift. Effort responds to effort. 🏋️♂️ This isn't an exhaustive list. What tools, resources, communities, or best practices would you add to the list? What's working/worked for you?

🔔 🌟 Attention Network 🌟🔔 Are you actively job hunting? OR maybe you are just passively interested in what other opportunities are out there? If you already know this, please scroll on, but I wanted to highlight a crucial error that so many people do and don't realise is important. Make sure your LinkedIn profile is comprehensive! 📝 As a recruiter, I can't stress enough how vital this is. When we search for potential candidates that are not already in our network, we use Boolean search techniques (using key words) in the back end of Linkedin, to filter through profiles. If your LinkedIn profile lacks information on the projects/skills/experience you have, you are more than likely going to miss out on amazing opportunities! 😱 You'd be surprised how many profiles we see that just contain job titles 🙈 By creating a detailed LinkedIn profile that matches your CV, you increase your visibility and improve your chances of being discovered by recruiters like me. Key tips: Include thorough job descriptions, key skills, achievements, and educational background. ✨ Remember, your LinkedIn profile is your digital professional identity, so make it sure its accurate and up to date✨ #CareerTip #LinkedInProfile #JobSearchSuccess

Job Hunting Truth: If you're looking for a full-time job, your full-time job IS looking for a job! I've learned something powerful throughout my recruitment career: when you're job seeking, job hunting BECOMES your job. It's not just about sending out a few applications and hoping for the best - it's about strategic, intentional, and consistent effort. Here are 3 game-changing tips I've seen transform job seekers' experiences: 1. Treat your job search like a professional project Create a structured daily routine. Block 2-3 hours each day dedicated ONLY to job search activities. This means targeted applications, networking, skills upgrading, and personal branding. Consistency is your superpower. 2. Network strategically, not desperately Networking isn't about collecting contacts - it's about building genuine relationships. Reach out to professionals in your desired field, engage meaningfully on platforms, attend industry events, and showcase your genuine interest and expertise. 3. Personalise every single application Here's one for you - Generic applications are CV black holes!!! (Genuinely!) Tailor each application to the specific role and company. Research the organisation and reach out directly, understand their challenges, and demonstrate exactly how your skills solve their problems. Employers want solutions, not just employees! Answers: https://lnkd.in/gi8N3Pen #jobsearch #careerjourney #struggle #Apluscertification #resume Hey everyone! 😊 So, here I am at 24, having just earned my A+ certification around 6 months ago (or maybe it’s been a year—time flies, right?). I’ve been job hunting, but honestly, it feels like I’m running in place. Can anyone else relate? Are there others out there who are also finding it tough to land a job? 🤔 Let me spill the beans on my situation: my resume is decent, but not great, and there are factors beyond my control that have made it challenging. I mean, I’ve tailored my resume as much as I can, but there’s only so much you can do when you’re aiming for one specific field. Here are some common pain points I’ve noticed: Competition is fierce: It can feel like every job posting draws in hundreds of applicants. Lack of feedback: Many companies don’t get back to you, leaving you in the dark about your application status. Experience requirements: Often, the job descriptions demand years of experience that I just don’t have yet. Networking challenges: Not everyone knows how to eff...
