Is everyone up on the Reesa Teesa story from TikTok over here on LinkedIn? I know you are, don't act like you're not. From a business perspective, what did you learn? Me: If you are going to invest that much time into content, monetize as soon as you realize you are actually creating content. I think she monetized a bit late and others monetized off of her content more than she did in the beginning. I'm not saying she could have predicted the virality, but at a certain point she could predict the output of work and effort. Also, understanding the social platforms and how they operate is crucial. My strategy would have been to put the first hour of content on TikTok to get people hooked, then I would have moved them to YouTube once I realized the videos were moving numbers. TikTok is great for virality and audience building, but YouTube is a better monetization platform currently. What are your thoughts? What did you learn? Or, do you have no idea what I'm talking about?

Whenever you start something new, it may not have the results you want. Agree? 💯🤓 I recently did my first ever TikTok live, speaking for over 30 min. Here are the results: Follower base: 4,225 followers Total views: 514 Peak viewer count: 8 Avg viewer count: 2 Total time live: 33 minutes Avg watch time: 3 seconds New followers: 1 So that totally SUCKED‼️ Only 3 seconds avg watch time? Yikes! 😁 Not gonna lie… it was also hard to just talk for half an hour in a one way conversation. 🙄 But that’s okay. Every time you start something new on social media, the results might be terrible. But here’s the most important thing… I STARTED. 🔥 The importance of just starting, no matter what results you get, is critical for any digital platform. ✅ I also learned a few things. 1️⃣ All the different features that I could use during a livestream. 2️⃣ How to get livestream approval - I have to do another 25 min video within a week. 3️⃣ After it was done, TikTok automatically created this sample video clip for me. That’s pretty cool, so I shared it.👇🏾 Getting that live out of the way, was actually an important barrier. Because the truth is, I got live access before, but never did it. So my temporary approval was taken away. This time though, I’m gonna do the second video no matter what the results. 🙌🏽 P.S.
