Forget follower counts! 🚯 Stop looking at the number of followers when choosing the influencer for your marketing campaign. This happens a lot in the industry. It happens to both sides of the equation. When agencies ask for a high rate of 1M subscribers channel with 20K views, based on the “previous glory” and the times when this influencer had 300-400K views. Or when brands want to work only with 100K+ influencers, declining to book more relevant to their audience but smaller ones. Let's get real with the data. The algorithm doesn’t put forward your following content, but the content you’re the most likely to engage and be interested in. It means that you need to take into account not the content that was produced, but the content that was seen by active people, not bots. ❗ Key metrics to focus on include views, engagement rate, likes, and comment interactions. React if you're interested in learning which statistics to request from influencers across platforms like YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok. #influencermarketing

None of the brands would accept this. But they still choose influencers only based on their followers. What they don’t realise is that it is not about finding someone with a big following and paying them to promote your brand. It is about building a relationship with someone who genuinely believes in your message and shares it with their followers. The best strategy for your marketing is to think smaller. Since they are not renowned yet, they make an extra effort to ensure that the content is well-aligned and the campaign works in your favor. They always want the brands to return to them. Therefore find micro-influencers who: → Align with your brand → Believe in your message → Have an engaged audience Once you have found the right influencers, spend time building a relationship with them. Support their content, send them goodies and encourage them to share their honest opinion. Don’t see it just as an influencer marketing strategy but as a branding strategy. Take the time to build genuine relationships and the rest will follow. If you are exploring an influencer marketing campaign that gets people talking about your brand, write to me. #influencermarketing

Too many influencers are skipping an important part of successful brand partnerships: Not sending a social media report after the campaign, missing the opportunity to show the real impact of their efforts. As an influencer, it’s important to be transparent and professional. A detailed report with behind-the-scenes metrics and analytics not only highlights performance, but also builds trust and sets the stage for long-term partnerships. Partner with influencers who know how to go beyond just delivering content. *** Do you agree? Would love to hear your thoughts on this. #socialmedia #marketing

Brand Influencers are a weak form of marketing. (Especially if you focus on their size only.) Influencers generally have large audiences. ↳ But that's not the determining reason to use them. ↳ The "type" of audience they have counts, a lot. You know the saying → "Quality over Quantity," right? It's a huge deal here. ↳ You don't want to spend a lot of money, to ↳ Attract the wrong people. My advice? "Investigate" the potential influencer first: 1. Who's their audience? 2. Does it match yours? And, 3. Will they buy if the influencer asks them to? Sometimes the "influencer" has no influence at all. Do your homework. ↳ Ask for a track record of clients they've served. ↳ Better to be safe than sorry, right? 😉 Repost if you learned something. ♻️ Thank you. P.S. Have you ever come across a brand that chose the wrong influencer? Yes/No. #Botswanabrandstrategist #Botswanadigitalmarketer #Botswanadigitalmarketing

Tired of influencer roulette, where you spin the wheel and hope for the best? We all know follower counts don’t tell the whole story. Imagine if you could find influencers just like those you already love and trust – that’s the ideal scenario! 1️⃣ Stop wasting time & resources: Manually searching for influencers is a time-consuming and often fruitless effort. HypeAuditor’s Instagram Lookalike tool streamlines the process, helping you identify partners just like those you’re already a fan of: https://casthr.co/l/6v 2️⃣ Move beyond vanity metrics: Follower count might look impressive on a spreadsheet, but it doesn't guarantee campaign success. Look for creators with high engagement rates – comments, shares, likes – that indicate a genuine connection with their audience. 3️⃣ The right Audience fit is key: Find influencers whose audience aligns with your target market, ensuring your message reaches the right people.

What type of influencer do you want to use in your marketing campaign? These are the buckets of how they are grouped. Nano: 1K to 5K Micro: 5K to 20K Power/mid-tier 20K to 100K Mega: 100K to 1M Celebrities: 1 million+ Interestingly, those micro / mid-tier influencers usually get higher engagement rates. A simple place to get started if you want to test the waters. Referrals Many companies out there work with influencers to help on referrals for new business and, in exchange, comp them 10-20% of the ACV. How do I know? Because I have a few of those deals in place. It's not about just getting out there and pitching their product, but when you get asked, "Hey Francisco, what do you use for X?" you can recommend it. It's still up to their sales team to close the deal. Influencer marketing is all about trust, not audience size. Just because you partner with (insert big name here) doesn't guarantee results. That's why you should test the waters before doing more complicated campaigns.

3 Reasons Influencer Marketing Campaigns Fail 🤦♂️ 1. Your Campaign Creative SUCKS 👎 Gone are the days where an influencer could post a picture of a product and millions of views. Standout Campaign + Exceptional Creative = 🚀 2. Choosing The WRONG Influencers 🚫 It's not just about finding influencers with lots of followers. It's about finding influencers in the right niche with an engaged following. 3. LACKING Authenticity 🎭 Forced or fake endorsements are easy to spot. Authenticity is key to building trust and engagement. 🛠️ Pro Tip: Measure, analyze, and refine your strategy continually for the best results! #influencermarketing

Generic influencer marketing advice realistically explained: "Determine your goals" = Did you talk to your customers first? "Find the right influencers" = No seriously, do you have data on your ICP? "Compile a shortlist and contact them" = Please stop, there's a step missing from this. "Recruit influencers in your campaign" = BUT do your customers follow/consume this type of content?? “Review content and post your campaign” = From whose POV are you reviewing this?? "Measure your ROI" = I give up. #influencermarketing #influencerstrategy
