I was slapped by an OLA CAB driver in front of my son almost 6 months ago. What Bhavish Aggarwal and his team did in that case? Nothing… Just kept the driver on some kind of training first, but when media wrote about the case, they cancelled his login (according to the news outlets). Interestingly the same cab driver was seen few weeks ago on the airport and that too in #OlaCab’s parking. Which means nothing much was done to the guy. Now I never had anything much against the driver and that’s why I never went for a legal case against #BhavishAggarwal or #Ola or the driver. Yesterday, I saw a random tweet shared by someone triggered me. Read what kind of language this so called cheap billionaire is using on the name of customer service. On social media he is chest thumping about customer service, just win an argument but see the language. If you check with any driver or customer of #OlaCabs then you will see a dissatisfaction and lack of trust. Imagine a startup built by Bhavish, which is valued at multibillion dollars is being ignored so badly. You know why? Because this guy is busy building so many more loss making unicorns, which will never think about customer, their people or even investors. I am seriously disturbed to see the kind of language he is using, as a tapori or chhapri could have been more decent on social media. What’s you take on this and how do you rate Ola Electric’s customer service? #OlaElectric Here is the link of the whole X (formerly twitter) thread where this guy is exposing himself: https://lnkd.in/dfUrgcz4
I have started paying a little extra and have gone back to the old taxi stands that served the India in 80’s/90’s/2000 era. I have zero trust left on any cab companies. Though when I use Uber internationally it’s much better than India. 🇮🇳 If one aspire to bring Uber in Indian region, without putting a serious budget and strategy in place to educate the drivers, car companies are bound to fail in India in the near future. Not even a single cab driver leaves their phones while driving whether it’s Ola or Uber especially in Bangalore and Hyderabad. I’m amazed at this practice and as a road safety issue no authorities are being accountable…
A similar incident happened to me a few years back when I was in Bangalore. I took an Ola ride and accidentally left my wallet in the cab. The driver attempted to withdraw money using my ATM card but failed because he entered the wrong PIN. What did Ola do? Absolutely nothing. To be honest, I have zero trust in Ola or any of their services. Even if Bhavish manages to build a successful EV company, the quality of their services would still remain unreliable and disappointing.
Rapido seems to be better for now in all aspects. Be it price, availablity of cabs and options, customer service, etc.
Bhavish is good for nothing, he is enjoying on investors money and spending in his PR
I have stopped using #OLACab, especially after #AtalSetu inauguration, the driver will take ATAL bridge if you don't pay attention even though while booking your route will be via #VashiBridge in Navi Mumbai. It happened to me 4-5 times and they deliberately select this route for ATAL Toll Tax, Once I was charged 500 rs two way toll in my invoice , after chasing their customer support got 250rs coupon back,(imagine if nobody notices invoice then will pay only 200 rs to gov as toll tax and remaining 300rs will taken by OLA. After such experience I rarely use #OLACAB
In my opinion, Uber is better than Ola, but in the end it's the human nature that one needs to understand before getting into any altercation with any cab driver, whenever a dispute arises. I talk to the cab drivers with extra precautions and politeness as these people work in an environment where there is no incentive to be polite. Hence if any disagreement arises, I humbly refuse without offending anyone. This is primarily because nobody comes to your help if anything goes wrong, not even Police. Because our Policemen are known to be very inefficient when it comes to dealing with public complaints.
Cab drivers don't really care about OLA or Uber or any other company. They have many apps to work on.RTO should cancel the license or atleast suspend it for few months.
There is a simple solution. Stop using their poor quality products and services. No amount of bad mouthing can hurt as much as lack of business demand.

1moKiran Verma You are very right. Unfortunately, many of our countrymen lack INTEGRITY & this is the result! Strict suveillance by the Government & slapping of heavy fines on the erring Companies / Company owners can be the only panacea for citizens like you & I. There should be a customer grievance cell set up by the Government and it should be able to resolve the issues within defined TAT. Organizations like this (OLA Cabs) endeavours only to sell and seldom worry about post sale service. OLA Cabs can never bring that professional touch. So is true with contemporary app based cab services in India. I use the services of Uber, Bolt, Grab when out of India & am truly amazed at their services. Their apps function so well. Drivers behave so well and their cars, spick & span ! Uber is better in India. When established players like TVS Motor Company, Suzuki Motorcycle India Private Ltd. sell their electric variants of 2W, why someone should invite the wrath by purchasing Ola Electric ? Few of my friends have suffered the most after purchasing Ola Electric & we never had any sympathy for them. It's just another money minting SBU for Bhavish Aggarwal & neither he nor his Company would ever care for it!
