'TikTok sued the federal government on Tuesday over a new law that would force its Chinese owner, ByteDance, to sell the popular social media app or face a ban in the United States' (https://lnkd.in/gCyppVjf) The greatest mystery on earth is why the most powerful country is usually in battle with someone (other countries it doesn't like) or other. A lesser mystery is why it is unable to assess the consequences of victory, defeat and stalemate for itself. I wonder whether this pithy observation, “Out of life's school of war—what doesn't kill me, makes me stronger” by German philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche (1888) would apply to the situation. It may be 'an aphorism that may portray the picture of resilience and affirmation for overcoming adversity', giving the attacked region and its residents (users, in the case of TikTok) invaluable experience to become stronger than before (https://lnkd.in/gqn-RHe9). The next battle will be even more difficult for the aggressors.
