Starting a conversation in your workplace about mental health can be really difficult, so we've developed a two-day accredited Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) course that teaches participants about common mental health issues and has been found to increase their knowledge, awareness and skills of mental health crisis. Upon completion of the course, some organisations have introduced Mental Health First Aid Officers, in the same way they have First Aid Officers. Start taking steps towards a mentally healthy workplace with our online or in-person Mental Health First Aid Courses: https://hubs.ly/Q02NKQG-0 #RUOK? #mentalhealth #workplacementalhealth

I need your help.... I would love to get more people on my Mental health first aid course on 23rd April in Warrington. I'm on a mission to help as many people as I can to feel more comfortable to start a supportive conversation. The skill is so important when you are dealing with people on a daily basis. Whether it's checking in on a friend or lending an ear to a colleague, those small moments can make a big difference. When we open up those lines of communication, we're not just offering support; we're creating a safe space for honesty and connection. In a world where judgement flies around like a wasp in August, we could all use a little more empathy. So, let's make starting supportive conversations a part of our daily routine. Whether it's a simple 'How are you, sausage?' or a heartfelt 'I'm here if you need me,' let's keep spreading kindness wherever we go. Even if people don’t want to talk about it, at least they know you are there and that you care. You never know whose day you might brighten with just a few words. Starting a supportive conversation is just one of the modules on the course. Click the link below to find out about the other modules and to book your place. https://lnkd.in/gYFBDSa4 Lunch and a giggle is also provided!

I recently completed a Mental Health First Aid course, and I can't express how valuable this experience has been! 🌟 Mental health is just as crucial as physical health, and having the skills to support someone in distress is becoming increasingly important in our workplaces and communities. This training has equipped me with the tools to recognize signs of mental health issues, provide initial support, and guide individuals towards professional help when needed. The course emphasized the importance of creating a supportive environment where everyone feels safe to discuss their mental health. I learned practical strategies for crisis de-escalation and how to approach conversations with empathy and understanding. I encourage everyone to consider taking this course. It’s not just about being a good colleague or friend; it’s about fostering a culture of care and awareness. Together, we can make a difference in the lives of those around us! #MentalHealthAwareness #MentalHealthFirstAid #SupportEachOther
