This is why I tend to steer away from awareness days or weeks. Sustainable change and impactful actions is what will make a real difference. Most companies now are ‘aware’ they need to support their staffs mental health, but one off events, EAP services, pool tables or a well stocked fruit bowl does not address the fear, the stigma, the worry of judgement that is still so strong around this subject. Until we face that and enable people to understand and lead by example we can ask and ask and ask and will continue to get ‘I’m fine’ as a response. Nothing will really change 😔 My bespoke Mental Health training workshops challenge people’s perceptions of mental health and ensure managers create productive environments that challenge stigma and allow people to thrive. Turn awareness into action…….not just cake!! Thanks for putting this together Will Crawford!!

Zinc can have the same effect as ADHD medication, so if you're out of your meds, or if you want to consider something more natural then look no further! Zinc plays a crucial role in neurotransmitter balance. Research has highlighted neurotransmitters such as -> Dopamine, -> Noradrenaline, -> Serotonin and ->GABA All have a role to play in ADHD symptoms. Zinc is crucial for Serotonin and GABA production and for the removal of dopamine. We're often led to believe that with ADHD comes low dopamine, but in fact the symptoms of low dopamine and high dopamine do cross over. Each Morning You Choose The Day You Are Going To Have With The Power Of Your Mindset To continue the subject of impact of stress and overwhelm on our physical and emotional health from earlier on this week, I would like to make a bold and perhaps also slightely controversial statement that we are not completely powerless when faced with various difficulties and obstacles that life seems to throw in our direction so often. There are lots of unsettling energies out there in the world at the moment, some of which seem to be affecting many people on the personal level too, often causing anxiety, fear of the future, lack of motivation and a number of other symptoms of emotional distress. And while most of us can't really control and influence the world at large, other than to a modest degree, we can and should take charge of our internal world of thoughts, emotions and beliefs. Morning is a great time to cultivate some habits that can help us ensure that each day is as peaceful, productive and fulfilling as possible. And we can achieve that by introducing and maintaining a morning routine that incorporates elements of mindfulness or spirituality into it in order to help our nervous systems start each day in a way that nurtures and supports them in the best way. If time is at a premium, as it is for many of us, those routines don't have to be lengthy or complicated processes. And sometimes it could be even the intention behind what we do and the focus on that activity that can be amazingly calming and grounding to our minds. Try to find ways of weaving even a few minutes of a mindful pause or reflection into your morning routine in order to support your emotional resilience and well-being and watch your inbuilt stress and anxiety levels gradually reduce as you make a habit of it.
