TikTok Shop has been slow to grow in the US with low commerce penetration for brands. Yet, TikTok has shown the power of shoppentertainment and product discovery through brand channels, creators and user generated content. In East Asia, TikTok has grown into a top marketplace overnight both for sellers and brands. Today, many of the TikTok sellers already use Fulfilled by Amazon in the US. Following this partnership and the ability to convert in the TikTok app, we should expect increased traffic as we avoid the previous traffic drop by staying in app; we will see an improvement in TikTok traffic conversion driven by the trust in the Amazon customer experience and we should expect that improved Returns on Ad Spend will drive more budgets to TikTok. I am curious to see long-term impact on Search media spend across platforms if any.
