End of one stage of my career today. Tomorrow is a new Commission and a new position for me. After having the privilege to work as a Head of Unit (manager) in the European Commission , for 19+ years, today is my last day in that role. From tomorrow I'm a "normal" staff member, "only" working on digital equality and getting more women into ICT careers. Huge thanks to all my staff over those years at Publications Office of the European Union and at DG CNECT in the Commission, ending with the dream job of managing the policy unit for a better internet for children, web accessibility and language technologies. Thanks to all my bosses - male and female - who had faith in me along the way. And heartfelt thanks to the fantastic people in Cnect G3 for their dedication to making life online safer, better, more accessible and multilingual. And to the many many contacts, colleagues and friends I’ve met along the way, - too many to mention individually!- thanks for your insight, inspiration and commitment to making the digital transformation in Europe more inclusive and welcoming to all. Vive l'Europe!
Dear June, hats down for this decision, not a common one in the EU institutions. But fully in line with your leadership style, at least as far as I got to perceive it. It's a pity, I would have loved to come work for/with you :) but who knows, our paths might cross again. All the very best
June, throughout the years I have participated in various initiatives by the European Commission regarding Internet Safety, you were always there ready to help and share your expertise with us. I really appreciate the way you used your role to benefit especially children, and wish you all the best on your future endeavours.
Thanks for your dedicated service and, of course, commissioning the first project in the world to deliver an ecosystem which began to build the foundations for an Internet that is age-aware. Sorry we didn’t quite get it over the line before your career move, but we’re getting close!
I know I am repeating myself, but your commitment to digital equality has meant a lot to the accessibility community. You will be dearly missed!
Thank you June for always being there for us. It was a real privilege to work in your unit, it will not be the same without you. ❤️
Dear June, thank you for your kindness and support for the youth participation in the safer Internet network. All the best
Dear June. Thank you for everything you've done to advance child empowerment and protection online. It's been a pleasure and honour to work with you. Warmest, Iris
Dear June, thank you very much for your dedication, professionalism and willingness to do the right thing. It was a pleasure working with you. All the best!

2wDear June, I've always been impressed by your professionalism, dedication, and great leadership style. Meeting you in my very early career made a difference (1997 - and very vivid memories :-). I wish you all the best in moving from one role to the next. I look forward to seeing you again.
