Childhood OCD : I help parents and schools figure out ways to support a child with OCD and anxiety📚The Mind Monsters Books 👩💻 The Parenting OCD in Teens and Tweens Handbook

The results are in, which leaves me with a bit of a dilemma.🤔 For the past few weeks, I have been actively working on which direction to take my business, and during the process, I have been wondering... How many people are just curious about childhood OCD? Versus how many are affected by it. So, I decided to put it to the test by conducting a poll both here and on Instagram, and the results have proved quite interesting. Based on the findings, it would appear, at first glance, that more people are intrigued by OCD as opposed to being affected by it. But all might not be as it seems. Because, firstly, only a small fraction of my connections and readers voted in my poll. And secondly, as parents of children with OCD opt to keep it private, many of them may have refrained from voting. The poll also proved helpful in helping validate the need for other products that I have been contemplating creating, too. Namely, resources to help schools support children with OCD. Because, one of my Instagram followers commented that she bought my Parenting OCD in Teens and Tweens handbook not to help her children as I had initially thought... But to help 2 of her pupils in school. Here is what she commented: "I'm a well-being coach in a primary school. Your information has been invaluable in supporting two pupils. 💛" If you are struggling to support a child with OCD at home or school, further details of my Parenting OCD handbook and Mind Monsters books can be found in the features section of my bio. #ocdawareness #ocdrecovery #ocdtreatment #parentingstruggles #schoolcounselor

Julie Derrick there is very little understanding still about OCD out here, so thank you for your books! Far too many still do not understand and so thank you for your work! I can see how vital it is that we see YOU and your book, in as many places as possible, where they hear your voice and then are able to read your words. With only kind support, does that help?

Keep raising awareness and understanding Julie. I know it can be tough (and some days better than others), but maybe take a moment to look back at what you have achieved and how many are being helped by all that wonderful information you share. You don't need huge numbers to be making a difference, and expanding to schools is a wonderful idea 💖

Julie I feel that many people may be like me. I am curious about OCD. I see signs that can suggest OCD, even in my grandson. I do not know enough to even suggest that that is what it may be. You are bringing understanding of what it is as well as guiding those of us who wish to be less negative when we encounter someone with OCD. Please continue your work Julie.

Sometimes it is a case of being unaware of the people who you make a difference to with your help and information for their children, grandchildren, job, interest, career…(Education and care studies could well benefit as well as personal) Have confidence in how much difference you are making to many with your support and books.❤️
