As a lot of finance process are inter-related it's possible to cross train people from other areas to become experts in Spend!!! Here is some insight into transferable skills for Spend and this concept can apply to any area of Workday actually!!!! 👍🚀🤔💡 #focuscloud #workday #recruitment

You know, if you can't find someone who does everything, for example, which modules sort of feed into spend or which areas could you take someone and maybe cross train them to become an expert in the spend area? So usually when we do like our first sessions with the customers, we actually show them a slide of where spend hits and which functional areas. So for example, if you're using intercompany and direct intercompany, that hits the customer side. And sometimes the people that use the customer functionality will maybe need to see how it feeds through on the supplier side to see the invoice. Another thing is while which I've done it with my own colleagues previously, like for example, business assets. So when those leads are, you know, configuring business assets, they need to create a supply invoice to see if it actually works and the business asset is actually flowing through the approvals that it should do. And then there's like people who you know, do tax, they have to create an invoice to see if the tax is working and and if it's bringing up the correct tax amounts and it's actually feeding into the incorrect ledges as well. So it does hit not a lot of areas.

****KEY CONSIDERATIONS FOR CUTOVER**** Cutover is a key period where it's key to have the right resources in place and ensure you are clear on your plan. Having clean data will ensure a smooth transition from implementation to go-live!
