Recruitment is broken! It seems increasingly obvious that recruitment isn't working anymore and that's why we need to show gratitude to those good recruiters and agencies that provide a professional service and navigate though all the noise, misunderstandings, communications and negotiations each time candidates put themselves forward for a role. The lack of recruiters, talent acquisition and HR in a lot of companies is quite frankly alarming and the reason why there is a big problem in hiring the right people and having experienced it firsthand in the past few weeks I can see the problem is widespread and becoming endemic. It seems that certain companies are making radical decisions based on cost and picking lower skiled lower paid consultancies that won't get the job done in time which is a failure waiting to happen, people have forgotten how to communicate, interviews are less than satisfactory, standards have dropped, salaries have dropped and employers want everything for nothing!
