State of Tennessee Special Agent | Communications Director | Retired FBI Agent |Crisis Communications | Crisis Negotiator | Child Abduction Response | Past President - National Information Officers Assn.

Today, I retired as an FBI Special Agent after nearly 21 years of service with the Bureau. Combined with FEMA , I have more than a quarter century of federal service. When I entered on duty in 2004, I knew it would be an adventure, but little did I know the opportunities I would have to work with some of the finest people in the country to do some of the most important work. Much of that work, the public never sees or hears about. I’m very honored to have had the opportunity to solve crimes, protect children, support our state and local partners, and uniquely be able to tell a few of its stories with our colleagues in the press. Though I’m stepping aside from the bureau , I’ll always be cheering for the men and women who continue to serve. Having said all of that, bureau families are the ones who make the biggest sacrifices. I know mine certainly did. I won’t be on the sidelines for long though, happy to be able to continue to serve my fellow Tennesseans in my next adventure.

Congrats! You'll now have plenty of time to be up cooking breakfast! Haha. What a run! So many great memories. Too many to mention. No one knew how to get stuff done quite like you. You were good for the FBI and the FBI was good because of you. Thank you for your service and friendship.

Our paths first crossed following Hurricane Floyd in '99 working in the DFO/JIC. I've watched your career since then recall fondly the times we've interacted since then. Who knows, it may happen again. Best of luck in your new career.

Man the Bureau took a hit with you retiring. I am so thankful I got to work with you over the years and able to witness first-hand the impact you had. Congratulations on a well-deserved retirement. You will be missed.

After seeing this I tried to remember how many calamities we launched you off to during the last decade? Hope you passed your go-bag and check lists to the next master of disaster.
