Yesterday, students in the City’s Afterschool programs at Prairie and Waukesha STEM Academy enjoyed a special visit from Kim of the Alaskan Malamute Club of Wisconsin and her dog, Tommy! The students are diving into an exciting project—designing their own dog sleds while exploring the science and technology behind this unique sport. They’re also learning about the famous Iditarod Sled Dog Races. Kim and Tommy will be making their rounds to all of our afterschool sites this December and January.
