It’s important that youth are able to adopt this mindset when they’re struggling: It’s OK not to be OK but it’s not OK to suffer in silence, it’s OK not to be OK but it’s not OK to not talk about what you’re going through with somebody it’s OK not to be OK but it’s not OK to stay that way, Because you deserve to be happy. You deserve to enjoy your life regardless of the decisions you’ve made in the past, regardless of how you see you regardless of what you think about you you deserve to get help from whatever you’re struggling with. Take that first step speak up and ask for help so you can start dealing and healing with whatever you’re going through now. Just a little reminder that it’s ok to: 💙Ask for help 🤍Take a break 💙Have bad days 🤍Say No 💙Have days off 🤍Be yourself These are all strengths we have within us, step into self leadership and be your amazing self, navigate the ups and downs of life and the challenges that we are faced with on our own unique journey. Take a break when you need it, have days off when you want them, ask for help when you need to, and know it’s ok to say no. We live in a society where so many of us don’t do these things and that can increase our stress (stress = trauma) which increases the cortisol in our bodies, which can then lead to so many other things when we don’t stop, when we don’t check in with how we feel and what we need.
