Today, we honor and celebrate the service and sacrifice of veterans.
Our country is grateful for the bravery and sacrifice of our military.
However, many veterans face ongoing challenges long after their service, particularly when it comes to their health. It should be no surprise that meant of the clients I represent are veterans.
For decades, asbestos was widely used in military equipment, ships, and buildings. The veterans I represent put their bodies on the line in more ways than one, and countless service members are at risk for life-threatening conditions such as mesothelioma, lung cancer, and asbestosis.
It’s crucial that we raise awareness about the long-term effects of asbestos exposure and ensure that veterans have access to the healthcare and resources they need. If you are a veteran or know one who has been affected, it’s important to connect with healthcare providers who understand these risks and can offer proper support.
To all the veterans—thank you for your service and sacrifice. Let’s continue to fight to protect and care for those who have given so much for us.
