How to create a work environment perfect for Gen Z. (This is what I tell my clients.) Firstly, let’s remember that many Gen Zs entered the workforce during the pandemic, so they’re prepared for the worst outcome, fueling their confidence in looking for other work if they feel unfulfilled. They remain unbothered by the fears of recession and want autonomy in their work. If you want to keep them around, here’s what you can do to create a collaborative environment that leverages their strengths: 1. Implement a hybrid work model 2. Normalize mental health conversations 3. Present clear career paths from the beginning 4. Give them stretch projects for personal growth 5. Create spaces for collaborative problem-solving 6. Provide instant feedback focused on “we,” not “you.” 7. Show, don’t tell, your support for diversity & inclusion 8. Use digital communication methods, like texting & email 9. With new projects, explain the connection to the company's goals It’s a win-win: Your company stays cutting edge, and they get a fulfilling work experience. What’s the most effective strategy you’ve implemented for engaging Gen Z?

It's fascinating to observe how Gen Z is navigating the job market with their unique set of challenges and strengths. They're facing stiff competition, grappling with experience gaps, dealing with AI mopping up entry-level positions, and confronting perceptions about their work ethic. Yet, they're not backing down. Instead, they're leveraging their distinct values and skills to make a mark. This begs the question - are employers doing enough to adapt to Gen Z's needs? Are we, as leaders, creating an environment that not only accommodates but also celebrates their unique perspectives and abilities? We need to foster a culture that transcends traditional work paradigms, one that is inclusive, flexible, and values-driven. It's time to rethink our strategies, to not just attract but also retain this dynamic generation. What are your thoughts on how we can better adapt to meet the needs of Gen Z and unlock their potential? Are there any innovative practices your organization is implementing to engage with Gen Z? Would love to hear your insights. #GenZ #JobMarket #FutureOfWork #LdrX

Business leaders: hiring the right talent that you need is hard. The pandemic has shifted how we connect to work, and for some professionals, they've uncovered new job opportunities that didn't exist before. Women rejoining the workplace is one example, and also, neurodivergent or talent with disabilities. For me personally, what a relief! Not only for myself to be able to continue pursue my own career aspirations, but also because I can recruit outside of my immediate region to tap diverse talent I otherwise wouldn't have been able to access. And I needed to build my team fast - looking to other regions improved my time to hire conversion rates and I secured the right talent that I needed imminently. Join this virtual event summit to learn what you need to know about how to hire people with disabilities and the neurodivergent talent (spoiler alert: It's more people than you think). https://lnkd.in/eZV3QACb Hiring plans for 2025 is getting easier with help from Talivity. 👩🚀 Crystal Lay Kate O'Connor, CPACC Anna Thielke Torri Wright Ma.Ed. #makewaves #dei #womenintheworkplace #foundermode #jobs #employerbrand #remotework

🎃👻 Halloween has me thinking about fears: 👻🎃 The fear of settling. The fear of mediocrity. A couple of years ago, recruiters were leaving companies due to toxic cultures, unreasonable KPIs, or long hours. But recently, I’ve seen a shift in why people leave. Yes, I still come across those escaping unhealthy environments, but more often, people are leaving because they want something better. They want an environment that inspires, a high-performance culture, somewhere they can thrive and escape that feeling of being “average.” This is a huge step forward in our industry—candidates aren’t just looking to escape anymore; they’re looking for a place to grow. In the past 4 months, we’ve made 5 new hires—each one driven by the same thing: the desire to be successful, to unlock their potential, and to be part of a company that supports them in doing just that. One of the most significant challenges we face as Gen Z professionals is the hesitation from older generations to give us a chance due to our perceived lack of experience. However, this reluctance is a missed opportunity. From my journey from Marketing Assistant to Coordinator, I’ve learned that with the right guidance and trust, we can exceed expectations and deliver exceptional results. It’s time to move past the biases and see what we are truly capable of. In the next part, I'll discuss how organizations can better support and integrate Gen Z talent. #Opportunity #Trust #GenZ
