Progress in the workplace has seen women achieving remarkable milestones, yet the journey to leadership remains a path less traveled. The key? Flexible and hybrid work policies that genuinely support the balance between career ambitions and life’s demands. But it’s not just about the policies on paper; it's about cultivating a culture where these practices are actively lived and encouraged at every level. As we aim to diversify leadership, understanding and adapting to the evolving needs of our workforce is crucial. Let’s make the workplace a realm where everyone, regardless of gender, can aspire to and achieve leadership. #LeadershipDiversity #WorkLifeBalance #InclusiveCulture #VisionaryLeadership #GenderInclusive Dr. Hala ElMiniawi London Intercultural Center (LIC) London Intercultural Academy | LIA Dr Nomonde Mabuya Peggy Lambert
Women in the world of work have made major strides, but organizations need to take action for that progress to extend into leadership roles. Establishing flexible and hybrid work policies enables women to balance the often conflicting but mutually valued responsibilities of work and life. However, written policies are not enough. Organizations must create a culture that supports and promotes their workers' appropriate use of such policies. Employees are listening and watching for an indication that the expressed culture is real and something lived at all levels. People want both a good job and a life well-lived. As organizations look to fill and diversify their leadership talent bench, the changing expectations and needs of the workforce must be considered. https://lnkd.in/gPzX8NNk
