We had an inspiring Lunch & Learn with an alum of the 25m Founders Club, Liam Bolling, now a Product Manager at Google Gemini, and Ilan Bigio, an engineer at OpenAI. We dove into a Q&A session on the future of AI, discussing the game-changing leaps in LLMs expected in the coming months.   Liam shared, "We are living in a truly extraordinary time in human history. Microsoft and Satya Nadella pulled off quite a coup by poaching two of the best AI minds, Mustafa Suleyman and Karén Simonyan, co-founders of high-profile AI startup Inflection AI (raised 1.3 billion dollars in funding last year). As the race for the generative AI crown heats up, the demand for top AI talent also intensifies. Interesting times lie ahead. Suleyman was also a co-founder of Google DeepMind, which Google bought in 2014 to bolster its own AI efforts. Great session with a couple of very smart AI experts. What’d I learn? If you’re proud of your prompting, you don’t have a business. All the major platforms are getting so much better, you’ll be obsolete. How do you win? EXPERIENCE DESIGN! The real value is in knowing how to organize specific AI capabilities together to solve specific problems for specific users. This is why I’m still COMPLETELY BAFFLED so many UX and user research folks are out of work. Hang in there designers. Business will get wise soon enough and there will be an incredible demand for your talents.
