Week two is complete and the weekend has really mixed up the leader board. All teams have managed to reach Glasgow and all but 3 have managed to reach Broadacre North Allerton. Atletico Building Systems still take a clear lead already making it past Manchester Airport, Their progress is so substantial that they could potentially jet off for a few days and still maintain their lead. There is tough competition for second place and the race is on to see who can be the first to see the boys in blue at Everton Stadium, with only 2 miles between teams Completely Floored and Not Fast Just Furious. Walking 9-5 have dropped off slightly leaving 31 miles between them and second place, but I’m sure this will only spur them on. The Pacemakers have benefitted greatly from their transfer and with their new addition they have took a lead over Scrambled legs and are only 9 miles behind 5th place, the Stroll Patrol. Current League Standings (After 11 days of walking) 1. 775m Atletico Building Systems 2. 591m Completely Floored 3. 689m Not fast just Furious 4. 660m Walking 9-5 5. 566m The Stroll Patrol 6. 557m Pace Makers 7. 527m Scrambled Legs 8. 430m Aches & Panes 9. 415m Red Hot Chilli Steppers Top 3 Individual performers at present; 1. 190m Jack Syddall 2. 152m Jamie Woollands 3. 132m Matt Zacharenko We have now reached 86% of our current target of £7,500 on just giving, which is amazing, it is very time consuming and it is amazing to see everyone putting in the effort. Keep up the hard work and get those steps in where possible. https://lnkd.in/eZM4EWHm #Charity #PACT #HorburyGroup #Construction #TeamWork #1346miles

How lovely it is to learn more about the individuals who teach our young people.
Today we're sitting down with Mr Barty Hills, Head of Rugby and Assistant Housemaster at RHS. Barty is a former pupil and sports scholar at RHS, where he played rugby, football and cricket, and was captain of the first rugby team. We talk to Barty about what life was like for him at school, why he switched degrees, how he coped with a brain tumour diagnosis, what motivated him to set up a charity rugby sevens team, and most importantly, how a luxury super yacht played a part in bringing him back to RHS... Any help? Please follow the link below
The boys are on tour, but we need your support Due to their footballing journeys so far one thing the lads have never had the opportunity to do is a tournament away. In their last year of junior grassroots football we'd love them to experience this and in the famous Blackpool! Please support us in making this happen and getting the boys to Blackpool Any donation is greatly appreciated https://lnkd.in/ecaVNvCr

Silverstone is not just a home race for Lewis Hamilton, it's also a place with special resonance in his mission to build a more diverse and inclusive Formula One. Four years ago, it was during a private test at Silverstone post-Covid, and pre-Austrian Grand Prix, that Lewis challenged us to do more and go further following the murder of George Floyd, by using our platform to advocate against racism and for greater inclusion. The result was the all-black livery of the W11, and catalysed the team's Accelerate 25 programme. Three years ago at Silverstone, the Hamilton Commission published its report on Formula One. Some took this as a hostile act, some resisted it as "Lewis's thing" rather than relevant for the sport, others were open-minded and embraced the mirror it held up to our community - and asked the question, how can we lean into changing that? At the same time, we announced the Ignite partnership between our team and Lewis's fantastic foundation, Mission 44. That work incubated some incredible initiatives that are guided today by Jason Arthur and his team at Mission 44, as they expand their scope and ambitions. That's why I believe this announcement by Formula 1 is so important - because it shows the sport as a whole, and not just individual drivers or teams within it, are prioritising a more representative and inclusive F1 as a source of strength and performance in the future. Lewis may be moving on from Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS Formula One Team at the end of the season, but I hope that when we reflect on our legacy together, this work sits very high up the list of achievements we can be proud of - alongside all those wins and world championships. And special little shout-outs to some of the folk in the background who've kept the wheels turning on this, most notably Jo Livingston, Marc Hynes and Mark Hamlin.

🧩✨ #AutismAwareness Top 36 Golf Course Rankings: Post 20 - Course #17⛳️ 🧩 💰 DONATE - Please help us get there by donating $36 today: https://lnkd.in/e4MFcQfd To represent the 1 in 36 kids affected by Autism in the US, I will be counting down my Top 36 Golf Courses that I have ever played with a short story/memory for each. If you could please consider donating $36 (or more) to Els for Autism via the link above, I would appreciate it ❤️ Golf Course #17 - Ohoopee Match Club As we make our way to course #17, we go to play one of the newest golf courses on my list, Ohoopee Match Club. Opening in 2018, Ohoopee is found in the rural town of Cobbtown, GA and was designed by Gil Hanse and Jim Wagner. It is owned by successful businessman and golf enthusiast, Michael Walrath, who at age 32 sold his company, Right Media, to Yahoo. Often recognized by its unique “onion” logo, the land on which the course sits used to be a successful onion farm. This type of soil and dunes lends itself to be the perfect turf for excellent golf course conditions, often playing firm and fast to challenge the golfer’s creativity. The word that comes to mind when thinking about the Ohoopee experience is FUN - the lodging, food, service, caddies, and course are amazing and create a memorable weekend. One of the most unique things about Ohoopee is that the course has 22 holes in total with two different 18-hole routings, the championship routing and the whiskey routing, which enables you to have a totally different round while playing on the same property. One other unique aspect that caught me off guard is there are no tee markers. This is by design as the course is meant to be played with Match Play, allowing the golfer with honors to choose how he/she wants the hole to be played. I was amazed by Ohoopee and “the hang” it creates, which has proven to be the successful modern course model that many other courses now are trying to immulate. If you go to play Ohoopee soon, I have no doubt that you will have an amazing time ⛳️
