Special note to the minority-owned business suppliers in my network: If you or someone you know—family, friends, or even yourself—is looking to get engaged, this resource is critical for you. Certification and active engagement with NMSDC can open doors to significant opportunities, including: • New business contracts with Fortune 500 companies seeking to diversify their suppliers. • Access to funding and acquisition resources through private equity and venture capital firms focused on minority-led enterprises. • Financial and wealth management services that cater specifically to scaling minority businesses. The time is now to get certified, get connected, and get seen. Sharing is caring—repost this for your network and help spread the word about the game-changing opportunities available through NMSDC! This weekend I had the privilege of attending the National Minority Supplier Development Council (https://nmsdc.org/) and it was an incredibly valuable experience. Barclays sponsored the networking event bringing together corporations, VCs and suppliers intimidating the path of historical proportions as noted by keynote remarks with Harvey Butler. Events like these are crucial for several reasons: • They provide minority-owned businesses with direct access to corporate leaders who are committed to fostering diversity within their supply chains. • It’s a unique opportunity to learn how private equity and venture capital firms are actively investing in Minority Business Enterprises (MBEs) through funding, acquisitions, and tailored financial services. • The conference highlighted the importance of wealth management and financial strategies designed to help MBEs scale and thrive in today’s competitive market. Special thanks to Harvey Butler for the invite and Hans Oriol for the wonderful opportunity to hear firsthand from industry experts and corporate partners. It’s an exciting time for MBEs, and I encourage my network to share this post and get involved with the NMSDC and its mission to support minority-owned businesses. Let’s continue to open doors and drive meaningful change! #Diversity #Inclusion #MinorityBusiness #NMSDC #SupplierDiversity #VentureCapital #PrivateEquity #FinancialServices

In the intricate tapestry of business partnerships, there's a pivotal role of aligning values with potential partners. While some may argue that personal lives should remain separate from professional endeavors, There’s an inextricable link between the two realms in the context of entrepreneurship. As partners, you embark on a journey where personal lives inevitably intertwine with the business, making it challenging to maintain strict boundaries. When you're deeply invested in a closely held enterprise, personal circumstances and values have a profound impact on the venture's trajectory. Consider the scenario of a partner with young children at home. While one partner may expect an unwavering commitment of 80 to 100 hours per week, the other's values and priorities as a parent may conflict with such demands. This disconnect in values can lead to misaligned expectations, potentially undermining the partnership's harmony and progress. This underscores the importance of getting on the same page regarding values from the outset. Whether it's family commitments, personal beliefs, or lifestyle choices, aligning these core principles is crucial for ensuring a cohesive and sustainable partnership. While some may argue that personal values should remain separate from professional endeavors, there's an inextricable link between the two realms in the context of entrepreneurship. In a partnership, where personal lives are intricately woven into the business fabric, failing to align values can sow the seeds of discord and hinder the venture's growth. By prioritizing value alignment from the outset, partners can establish a solid foundation built on mutual understanding and shared priorities. This alignment not only fosters a harmonious working relationship but also equips the partnership with the resilience to navigate the inevitable challenges that arise in the entrepreneurial journey. #BusinessPartnerships #ValueAlignment #PersonalLifeImpact #ExpectationAlignment #HarmoniousCollaboration #MutualUnderstanding #SharedPriorities #EntrepreneurialResilience #SustainablePartnerships #PersonalValues #ProfessionalSuccess #SuccessfulPartnerships #blackcpa #africanamericancpa #businessmanager #virtualcfo #taxbrackets #blackbusinessmanager #fractionalcfo #cpa #africanamericancpa #africanamericancfo #africanamericanaccountant #blackaccountant #blackownedcpafirm #blackownedaccountingfirm
