October 7, 2023, a day that forever changed the lives of Israelis and Jewish people around the world. Today, we honor the memory of those tragically taken from us and the brave souls who fought and continue to fight, to defend our nation. Their courage and sacrifice will never be forgotten. Around 25% of our team members have been called for reserve duty, and we are incredibly proud of those who are still serving. Though we have faced unimaginable pain, our spirit remains unbroken. Am Yisrael Chai, the people of Israel live on. Together, we rise, united in strength and resilience. 🕯️ 🇮🇱 💛

🇨🇦 Lest We Forget: Remembering Their Sacrifice, Embracing Peace 🕊️ On Remembrance Day, we pause to reflect on the courage and sacrifice of those who gave everything for our freedom. As we remember their legacy, it’s also a chance to think about the world we want to build for the future. 🌍 Many soldiers, including Sikh Canadians, stood side by side with others in both World Wars, often leaving their homes and families to fight for a cause greater than themselves. Their bravery and dedication remind us that the pursuit of peace is a shared responsibility—one that transcends borders and differences. Their sacrifices speak to the power of unity, empathy, and the strength we find in our diversity. 🤝 As we reflect today, let’s ask ourselves: How can we continue their work? True respect for their sacrifice isn’t just about remembrance; it’s about actively building a world where every person is seen, heard, and valued. 🌿 Let’s move forward with a commitment to peace through inclusion, understanding, and mutual respect. The real tribute to those who served is the world we create in their memory.

Many are called, but FEW are chosen. REAL Christians are a MINORITY. Can't vote their way out of a wet paper bag. But their good EXAMPLE may save many. But FAKE Christians are the scribes and fairy-sees of our day, having NO power with God. The MEEK shall inherit the earth when God eliminates his enemies of falsehoods. Forget nations and get ready for one great Kingdom of God. My book on the good news of the Tribulation: TRIBULATION IS HOPE; THE LAST CALL. https://lnkd.in/gZqUFs3E

Now more than ever we need to remember that no one really wins a war. Some might say that only relates to lives lost and that you can win in terms of political power but my reading of history suggests otherwise. And the cost is in far more than lives. Although those should be our first considerations. Military and civilian alike. The costs extend to the long term economic, structural and social impacts of war as well. Even the smallest of wars, the arguments we have between us, can often be microcosms of the same phenomenon. My hope for the future is that we all learn to see things less combatively and more cooperatively. Respectfully. We may come at problems differently, see the world differently. But the vast majority of us are still just people, who want to live our lives and raise our families safely and successfully, in peace. The peace that seems to have eluded our species, our planet, for as long as anyone can remember. Let's us not forget. But more than that, let us reflect and remember and learn from those lessons and the sacrifices made in pursuit of better, so we don't keep repeating them. Let's all try and be a small part in that quest for better. So everyone can win. Even at the micro-level. It all starts somewhere. https://lnkd.in/g78uTF-A

This #StarwarsDay highlights the shift in the balance of the FORCE across the eternal conflict between tyranny and freedom. The starwars saga dynamic drives the narrative but also resonates with timeless themes of resistance against oppression and the pursuit of justice. Where the Empire, later succeeded by the First Order, represents the Dark Side of the Force in its governance and military might. It is characterized by authoritarianism, suppression of dissent, and use of fear to maintain control. While the leaders, like Emperor Palpatine and Darth Vader, who are strong with the Dark Side of the Force, use their power to manipulate and destroy, embodying the most brutal aspects of tyranny. While the resistance, often a group of rebels fighting against the oppressive rule of the Empire or the First Order. These resistance fighters are characterized by their diversity, resilience, and belief in the freedom of the galaxy from tyranny. They represent hope, the will of the people to fight against overwhelming odds, and the belief in the power of good over evil. The Force is NOW STRONG with Palestine and its Global Supporters .. no matter how hard the dark side tried to supress the truth of its brutality and oppression for more than 75 years! #MayThe4thBewithYou #FreePalestine #MayThe4th

Important history to be mindful of today.
Today marks the 387th anniversary of the PequotMassacre at MysticFort, a major battle during the PequotWar. Before dawn on May 26, 1637, both European and their Indian allies slaughtered hundreds of our Pequot men, women, and children ancestors at our village in Mystic. Although there were subsequent battles, this one, in particular, is known as the Pequot Massacre or the #MassacreatMystic due to the vicious and unprecedented nature of the attack. On this day, the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation not only remembers our ancestors who perished in the Pequot War, but we also remember those who survived to ensure that our tribe and culture continues. Because of them, we are resilient survivors.

The conquest of Babylon stands as one of history's most remarkable examples of strategic leadership and precise execution. At the time, Babylon was the most advanced city in the world, a critical part of the Assyrian kingdom. Its grandeur was matched only by its reputation as a virtually impenetrable fortress. However, Cyrus the Great, determined to end the threat posed by Babylon, sought to conquer it without a bloodbath. His reasons were both strategic and humanitarian: Babylon had attacked the Medes several times in the past, and Cyrus aimed to secure his empire while preserving life. The city’s defenses seemed invincible, but the Euphrates River, which ran through Babylon, offered an opportunity; Cyrus devised a groundbreaking plan. He ordered his forces to dig trenches around the city to divert the river's water. By lowering the water level, his infantry could enter the city under the cover of night through the riverbed. The operation was timed with precision to coincide with a city-wide festival, ensuring minimal resistance. The plan worked flawlessly. Cyrus's troops penetrated Babylon's defenses without bloodshed, taking the city with little disruption. Following the conquest, he freed 40,000 Jewish captives and other enslaved people, allowing them to return to their homelands. Moreover, he upheld Babylon's traditions and religious beliefs, demonstrating his respect for diversity and his vision of inclusive governance. This historic victory was not just a military triumph but also a profound lesson in leadership, strategy, and the humane exercise of power. #cyrusthegreat #cyropaedia #leadershipbycyrusthegreat #babylon #theconquestofbabylon Darius Lahoutifard

Today, we reflect on the profound words τετέλεσται ("It is finished") spoken by Jesus Christ on the cross. This statement goes beyond mere completion; it signifies victory and fulfillment in various contexts: - **Financial Context:** In ancient times, τετέλεσται marked debts & receipts as "paid in full," ensuring financial obligations were completely settled. - **Judicial Context:** Similarly, the term was used in legal settings to signify the completion of punishment for crimes, similar to a modern-day "sentence served" notice. - **Military Context:** In military history, τετέλεσται was shouted to declare full and final victory over enemies, signifying the successful overcoming of the opponent. In the ultimate sense, Jesus' declaration on the cross encapsulates these meanings: the debt of sin paid in full, justice served, and the ultimate triumph over darkness. Let's find inspiration in this message of redemption and victory for our own journeys. #Inspiration #Leadership #Faith #Resilience #Victory #Redemption #HistoricalContext #PersonalGrowth
