A good apprenticeship is a valuable foundation for any engineers career. Having firsthand experience of a Brush apprenticeship I recommend their structured approach to anyone.
Passing on hard-earned skills, knowledge, and expertise to the next generation is something we feel passionate about here at BRUSH. And as we welcome 13 new apprentices across our Group, colleagues from across the business are busy working hard to ensure that they are supported, developed, and appropriately challenged, as they begin their careers in our fast-paced industry. Recognised as a Platinum Partner by one of our partner colleges – Loughborough College, Leicestershire, for decades we have been welcoming apprentices, teaching not only the practical skills they need to engineer and deliver our innovative solutions, but also vital skills for life, such as thinking outside the box to solve problems and how to work effectively as part of a team. We believe that apprenticeships are not only great for the young people they support, but also great for our business, and the wider industry, too. Developing new talent is an investment in our future, it helps us to prepare for business growth as well as support succession planning to ease future skills shortages. Our class of ’24 apprentices will now join various departments, at various locations across BRUSH Group, often working alongside former apprentices who have gone on to build long careers with the company and are now training the next generation – truly a full-circle moment!
