I learnt the value of Medical allowance/Support today after I'm sick & afraid of losing significant part of salary to doctor fee & majorly to the medicines prescribed. Most of us are well experienced on curve of monthly salary in & out phenomenon! Any elements inconsistent to routine expenses immediately drains the balance. And it bites next month salary. Doctor, " Eat fruit for two weeks". My account, " but I don't have enough bucks to buy". Doctor, " Visit me for re-check in 2 days." My account, " But I can't pay fee again". Doctor, "I'll add further medicine next week" My account, " already thinking drop the expensive syrup from current list." Doctor," Get this test report for better diagnosis, but is expensive than others". My account, " Simply ignore Dr. for this". Corporates make profit. We all know. Those extend medical support to employees are employee caring in scenario above. #medicalassistance #medicalallowence #employeesupport #hrcommunity

"Protect your income like your doctor does" 👩⚕️ Recent data from Iress highlights a compelling trend, medical professionals, especially doctors and nurses are the most common applicants for Income Protection. Short term IP products show a more diverse occupational spread, with nurses still leading but including roles like HGV drivers, care assistants, and builders. This reflects the wider needs for protection, particularly where full-term IP is out of budget. The future of IP sales is evolving, understanding the needs of these professions and using insurer benefits to offer tailored solutions is crucial, at The Exeter we offer flexible waiting periods for a wide range of NHS medical professionals and also teachers, meaning advisers and clients don't need to make amendments when sick pay changes through the years. To read the top ten occupations for purchasing IP and some insights from the experts, please use the link below. Yesterday, I called my GP because I had a bad cough and a sore throat that just wouldn’t go away. The receptionist told me the earliest appointment was in 7 days. Fair enough—I said, "Thanks, I’ll try another clinic." Then they said, "You could see the nurse instead." I asked, "Is it a nurse practitioner who can prescribe medication?" They replied, "No, but they can assess you. You might not even need antibiotics." And then came the kicker: "If you visit another clinic, you’ll have to sign up with us again." At this point, I was ready to hang up. Here’s the thing: I wasn’t worried about signing up again—I just wanted the right treatment to feel better. But they seemed more focused on keeping me as a patient than solving my problem. This made me think: whether you’re in customer service, recruitment, or running a business, the most important thing is solving the real problem—not holding on to people out of fear. Had they said, "The nurse can assess you, and if antibiotics are needed, we’ll make sure you get them," I would’ve stayed. It’s the same in hiring, sales, or anything else. 💡 Are you solving the real problem? Or just trying to keep people from leaving? When you focus on fixing what’s wrong, people trust you more—and stick around. What’s one time you focused on solving, not selling? Drop your thoughts below!

Employees & suspicious sick notes: Ms M was dismissed by Woolworths for submitting a sick note from a doctor suspected of selling sick notes. The Labour Appeal Court ruled that if an employer has suspicions about a doctor & the sick notes issued by such a doctor, the employer must investigate the suspicions they have regarding that doctor. Ordinary people (including workers) cannot determine if a doctor is qualified, suspended or is not permitted to practice. That is the function of a regulatory body like the HPCSA. The idea that an employee who consults with a doctor who isn’t trusted by an employer must be subjected to a disciplinary process for using that doctor is troubling. Workers may not have the wherewithal to determine if a doctor is qualified, unqualified or operating illegally. If the suspicions an employer has about a doctor are well founded, the employer must warn its employees about using that particular doctor (once valid grounds to do so have been established).

Are you considering taking a position at a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC)? If you are, this could be one of the most essential moves you make in the healthcare system. No matter if it’s an Administrative Assistant/CMA, Nurse, Maintenance, or Doctor. If it were not for FQHCs, there might be a great deal of Americans who could possibly be without healthcare. I am not saying all, just a significant amount. Of course, many healthcare facilities are available, but if you're considering working at an FQHC, you should always ensure the position is a good fit for you. Some of the critical factors that have played a pivotal role are: ➡️Prospective Salary ➡️Time Off ➡️Retirement ➡️Insurance and Benefits ➡️Loan Repayment ➡️Good Working Environment Starting a new leg in your career path can be exciting and challenging at the same time, but being a part of an experience like this can either jump-start a healthy career or further enhance a career as you move along in the healthcare industry. Ultimately, the greatest result is connecting with committed individuals who have a passion and desire to work with patients to better their health and well-being. That’s priceless!!!

During my career in healthcare, many of my colleagues have disliked, even resented, the non-clinical workload they are faced with day in and day out. Having worked under the very real pressures of frontline healthcare, I completely understand where that frustration comes from. It can be really challenging to balance clinical work with non-clinical tasks. It's not unusual for that work to make its way home with you at the end of the day. The word 'burden' is often used to describe the admin that piles up for busy professionals and business owners. But I love non-clinical work. I combine my attention to detail, time management, and problem-solving skills with an understanding of the health industry and a kind and caring manner. It’s more than just task management—it’s precision, adaptability, and the ability to navigate a wide variety of situations with a calm and measured approach. I tackle every task with the same level of care and precision that I did in the medical field. The result? More time and energy for my clients to focus on what matters most. I’m here to take the 'burden' of administrative work off the shoulders of busy professionals, allowing them to focus on their core responsibilities. So, please get in touch and let me take the non-clinical weight off your shoulders. 💙 [email protected] 💙 #VirtualAssistant #HealthProfessionals #WellbeingPractitioners #BusinessOwners

It was an interesting conversation that I had with a human resources leader in healthcare last week. Sometimes it doesn’t cross our minds as I’m sure most industries deal with turnover, but when a hospital is constantly backfilling roles and then even more folks are quitting because of the stressors that come with being understaffed, what happens to the patients? We then showed them how PI compares candidates using assessments against the profiles of their most successful nurses, the hospital can identify candidates who are not only qualified also likely to thrive in the specific work environment. This tailored approach helps ensure better job fit, leading to increased overall satisfaction and reduced turnover. Curious would this be helpful at your organization?

Is your medical practice budgeting more time off for workers in 2025? Medical Group Management Association (MGMA) found in a recent poll that about 35% of practice leaders intend to have a higher budget for staff cost-of-living and merit increases in 2025. While wage compensation is the primary factor, this also includes worker benefits, such as paid time off. MGMA's report states, "Benefits such as reimbursement an paid time off (PTO) hours for continuing education can help to support employee growth and assist with retention."
