Did I just call you out? 👀 ➡️ If I did, that's okay! There's no official handbook or one 'best' way to study the most effectively ✅📚 However, these issues need to be addressed... Here's a few tweaks I'd make to your studies if you're finding yourself in 👆this👆 situation! ⭐️ Plan each study session before you begin Which topics are you going to cover? Are you going to use this time to attempt questions or maybe create study materials e.g. revision cards? ⭐️ Don't get too comfortable with a few study resources Yes, your textbook is great to an extent. But it simply can't practice application questions for you or give you feedback on your progress! A few of my favs: the ACCA Youtube channel, Practice Platform + technical articles 💻🔥 ⭐️ Consider 1:1 support from a tutor Investing in closer guidance is a game-changer, especially when developing your application skills! Getting direct feedback on your answers from a professional who can show you exactly where to improve will make the world of difference 🌍 How are you study sessions going currently? My answer is Kaplan. During my time as a student from 2019-2022, the Study Hub wasn't available, so I relied on Kaplan and BPP. I found Kaplan to be more student-friendly because once I understood their concepts, tackling questions from other books became easier, and I could grasp technical articles much faster. So, from 1 September 2024 BPP and Kaplan are no longer going to be approved content providers, but will change to .... (drum roll) ... content providers. While this does not sound like much of a development, it does mean that their books are no longer going to be reviewed by ACCA examining teams as they are right now. I can't help thinking that the "Content Provider" label is going to suggest to students that the books remain "endorsed" or "official" to some extent, when this is simply not going to be true. And students will not realise, because I cannot imagine anyone will be trying too hard to make sure they realise. Not suggesting the content of their books etc will suddenly become unreliable, but advertising from accountants is meant to be clear, to avoid misunderstandings and customers being misled. I know ACCA now has its own Study Hub material for free, but given BPP and Kaplan materials are likely to be a different animal to the Study Hub, why not continue the examiner reviews? Or just remove the "approved" thing completely? Middle ground compromises are often the least good solution. Just saying. PQ Magazine #accastudents #acca #accaglobal #accaexams

A few helpful tips which I found out while attempting my ACCA exams which I think might help you: 1. READ THE ENTIRE QUESTION: We often tend to assume what the answer to the question will be while reaching midway through the question. Trust me assuming answers based on previously solved mock tests will lead to disasters particularly even if the question is 90% same. It’s the 10% that makes all the difference. Read the entire question 2 times if needed(Measure twice cut once) 2. Attempt the entire 100% of the paper. You never know which question you answered correctly(which according to you was incorrect) will compensate marks for the other incorrect answer(which you thought was correct) because at the end 1 mark is the difference between 49 and 50. 3. Write as comprehensively and straight forward answers as possible to get your point straight to the examiner’s mind. It’s not your poem writing competition. Your answers should be as direct and precise as possible. All the best for your ACCA exams everyone! #acca #accaglobal #accaexams #accastudents #accamembers

“Becoming a Chartered Accountant and posting a picture with all these books makes the journey feel so worthwhile.” Itni kitaabe padhni padegi CA ban ne ke liye ? 😲 The answer is “NO”. You don’t have to study each and every book you have. Also it’s not necessary to sit and study for 16-18 hours a day. If you study even for 10-12 hours effectively per day, then that is more than sufficient to clear the exams with good marks. Here is my strategy!! 1. Be attentive during the lectures and make notes while watching the lectures rather than the skipping the writing part and relying on printed notes. 2. Choose your study material before the exam leaves and stick to it. 3. Avoid changing or adding new material, as it creates confusion. 4. No matter from which teacher you have taken classes or referred material, Trust them 100%. Switching teacher at the end can be very difficult and challenging. 5. Don’t depend too much on revision videos. You have to focus more on self-study as there will be only you and your mind in the examination hall. Throughout the years I've nailed down a few tips for solidifying knowledge, so let's get into them! ↓ 🔄 Repetition 🔄 No, not by reading the same sentence in a textbook over and over again. Repetition works best when you DO something again and again, particularly question practise 💡 If you get a question wrong, it's essential you go back + try again. By working through mistakes and seeing where we go wrong is the ONLY way we can correct ourselves and get it right when it matters ✅ 👀 Visual aids 👀 Post-it notes, flashcards and mindmaps are your best friend when passing any ACCA exam 🫱🏼🫲🏿 I recommend placing these around the house where you're going to see them everyday e.g. your bathroom mirror, your desk or even beside your bed 🛌 👉 Feel free to take these OUT of the house also! Refreshing your memory on your work commute or while you're on holiday is the perfect way to multitask! What tips do you find helps keep information in your brain? 🧠 #fmelearnonline #accaexams #acca

Just like life, ACCA is a marathon and not a sprint! We need to pace ourselves. FR takes a good while to properly understand the principles as they're not easy. But it is 100% achievable and I would recommend taking at least 4 months to study for this paper if you want a first time pass 🤩 If FR is next for you and you want to PASS 🎉 in September, please get in touch. I have helped thousands of students pass FR over the years, and I can help you too! 😊 Online, on-demand, with a tutor who is always on-hand. #acca #financialreporting #examsuccess

Here are some tips & study resources which I used to clear F4 ( LW - ENG ): This exam teaches us different legal scenarios which we can face in our practical life and their relevant legal solutions. This exam includes different case studies & illustrations which are very much interesting and worth studying both in terms of knowledge & experience. I enjoyed studying this subject due to the style of teaching of my tutor. The way he taught us, linked the scenarios with real world cases & his passion and dedication towards the subject paid a valuable contribution in understanding and clearing this exam. This exam is mostly based on the efforts being put by your tutor to let you understand the legal terminologies, case studies & important points regarding your syllabus. So, it is recommended that you guys study from a well reputed teacher of your city among all other tutors. The easiest and simplest strategy to clear this exam is that you: 1) Take all the lectures of your tutor. 2) Go through all the study text of BPP. 3) Practice all the questions from BPP Exam Kit & ACCA Study Hub. 4) Solve all the mock exams from BPP kit including the specimen exam. • Recommended Study Resources: BPP Study Text, BPP Exam Kit , ACCA Study Hub • Subject Type: Theoretical • Tutor: Hassan Khan • Institute: SKANS School of Accountancy #accastudents #accaglobal #accaexams #accapakistan

Writing is the Key 🗝️✨ After my recent posts I am receiving many DMs like what exactly has made the difference. Like they were also studying and giving there all for the exams but the results didn't come their way. And after talking to them one thing I found which lacks in many of them is a good amount of writing practice. Like the CA Intermediate syllabus is very vast and in order to revise the whole in a short time we use to speak the words in mind rather than Writing them on a paper. (And many super talented people solve whole Adv. Account Questions in mind 🫡) And one thing which is the ultimate truth is that apart from 30 marks MCQs there is still the portion of 70 marks which everyone has to solve by writing in the exam halls. And lack of Writing practice costs us a good portion of the question paper being unsolved. And at last sharing one writing tip which helped the most is Scribbling like I used to write everything I know about the question or topic without giving much attention to formatting. If you find it helpful do Connect Shailesh Janoti 😊 #study #time_management #icaievents #exam #ca #cs #cma #positive
