𝐇𝐨𝐰 𝐭𝐨 𝐜𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐤 𝐁𝐈𝐆 4 (KPMG, Deloitte, PWC, EY) 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐞𝐰𝐬? Usually BIG 4s have 3 rounds: Aptitude Test, GD(Group Discussion) and PI(Personal Interview). => 𝐀𝐩𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞 𝐓𝐞𝐬𝐭 - Talking particularly about commerce background in undergrad, the aptitude will be MCQ based and will usually have questions based on 11th12th accounts, financial accounting, quantitative aptitude and verbal ability questions. ~ If you prepare even for 4-5 days, you would be able to crack it. => 𝐆𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐩 𝐃𝐢𝐬𝐜𝐮𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 - It is the most interesting amongst all the other rounds. Remember few points to crack it: ~Always try to start or conclude the GD. ~Don't run behind speaking more, say valid points with confidence and give chance to others as well. ~Don't give blanket statements and don't try to prove anyone wrong. Remember both the sides of a topic are correct in a GD. ~You just have to give valid points to justify your answer not to prove others wrong. ~Speak with confidence and humility and never shout in a GD. => 𝐏𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐞𝐰𝐬 - You must need confidence and good communication skills to crack PI. ~ Try to give a brief intro but highlight all your major achievements in it. ~ Good command over spoken English is required. ~ Prepare 11th 12th Accounts well especially for the Audit profile. ~ Lastly, gain some information regarding the CEO, directors, ranking and other some basic but relevant information regarding the company. No then forget BBM - bains, bcg, mckinsey does your cv contain words like international tax, IFRS, bla bla bla No then forget big-4 does your cv contain words controller, leadership, MBC No then forget levers, colgate, pfizer like mnc hope you understand meaning if you want best jobs - reopen your cv push these words inside do not think that you have not done this but nobody told you that you have done this because your article-ship may be with mid-size firms and such words are never used there. Do Mock tests make any difference? I gave mocks for my CMA Foundation - Inter - Final. Scored AIRs (Time allowed me to take Mocks) all 3 times. Gave mocks for CA CPT & Intermediate as well. Score was substantially high. Only exam when I didn’t give any mock was my CA Final because of time constraint. Here’s the difference I felt by giving mocks before exam: 𝟏. 𝐁𝐞𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐰𝐞𝐫𝐬: Especially for theoretical papers like Audit made the work easy to present as per Exam standards by referring to ICAI MTPs and RTPs. 𝟐. 𝐁𝐞𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐞𝐭𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐩𝐚𝐩𝐞𝐫: I never had shortage of time to end the paper. This was one of the biggest advantage I experienced. I wrote what I wanted to write all the time. 𝟑. 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐟𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞: Confidence boosts enormously because you know you’re going to write what is required. So, do write mock tests whenever possible or atleast practice some questions in Theory & Practical selectively. It does make a lot of difference. Tip : how to clear ca foundation examination ; 1. Analyse Past Papers :- You should solve past 5 year question paper to analyse the paper pattern and to know what ICAI demands. 2. Use ICAI Material :- You should solve rtp and mtp released by ICAI on his official website. 3. Plan Strategically :- Be a plan maker and decide targets on daily basis or objective to be done only on that day. 4. Stay Determined :- Be determined in your goal. Remember, determination and perseverance are key ingredients for success in any endeavor, including exam preparation. By implementing these strategies into your study routine, you can significantly enhance your chances of clearing the CA Foundation exam . ACCA vs CA. Which is better? Almost every high school graduated student who intends to pursue the career in Accouting and finance faces this dilemma and trys to know which is the better qualification. While ACCA and CA both are professional accounting qualification but they both differ in a certain way. CA is a national level qualification regulated by statutory body: ICAP. ACCA is a global qualification regulated by ACCA itself under British Council. Structure: CA consists of 21 exams separated in 4 modules: PRC (Entry level) 4 exams, CAF 8 exams in 2 groups, CFAP 6 exams, MSA 2 exams. Meanwhile, ACCA comprises of 13 exams, separated in 3 modules: Foundation 3 exams, Skills module 6 exams and Strategic professional 4 exams ( 2 mandatory and other 2 optional). Moreover, ACCA structure offers more flexibility in terms of exams attempt. Scope: CA being national qualification has wider scope in local job market and its starting pay is generally higher than ACCA qualified. Whereas, ACCA is recognised in over 180 countries and its members have option to resume their career anywhere in the world because of worldwide recognition. Work experience: CA qualification requires 3.5 years of articleship to become CA qualified but it can't be added on resume as proper work experience. Meanwhile, ACCA also require 3 years of work experience, which can be started as soon as possible after gaining relevant skills and even prior experience to ACCA can also be recorded. Wrapping up, both qualifications has their own benefits depending on the person's career choices and aspirations. Both are prestigious qualification and can truly lead to a promising career. ICAP Education Scheme 2025: According to the scheme, total number of papers in CA qualification will be 18 (earlier it was 21). Total number of papers in PRC will be 03 along with a time limitation. Total number of papers in CAF will be 08 ( earlier was also 08), there is a addition of new subject in CAF (CAF-03: Data, Systems and Risks) and Business law and Company law are merged into a single subject ( CAF-04: Business and Corporate laws). Cost and Management Accounting is Now CAF-05: Management Accounting. Also there is a time limitation of 05 years for passing the CAF. Total number of papers of CFAP will be 06 with a addition of completely new subject CFAP-03: Sustainability for Accountants, along with a time limitation of 10 years. #ICAP #CA

"Two Months into My Articleship at EY” Some key insights for students targeting big firms: Getting into big 4 is beginning of the journey , not the end of it. It gives you opportunities but the working environment can be toxic sometimes. It gives you instant recognition in your peers but doesn’t give you much time to spend with them. The work from home culture is something , I personally love about big firms. The most important thing is that people take a lot of pressure in big 4. The pressure is natural in such a competitive environment. But not taking pressure, requires guts and the art of saying no. Remember this “Diamonds and made under pressure , not by avoiding pressure “. But taking too much pressure can break you as well. Experience at KPMG till date! Many of us are not aware of the field before joining for articleship but let me explain you what we do in audit! It might be of your help! When we talk about Audit, in layman language mean whether financial statements are made as required and doesn’t involve any misrepresentation and fraud. (Generic definition) What does practical world requires? So the auditor makes an Audit report after examining the financials of an organisation. The report contains various things like CARO, opinion etc. The main thing which you will be using as technical tool is excel because we do a lot of recalculations of financial statement items and every thing in balance sheet to Profit and Loss A/C to notes is recalculated and checked with help of supporting documents and stored in excel files commonly known as work papers. "Few important points to remember in CMA CAMPUS PLACEMENTS." 1 Remember to present yourself professionally (your dress, attitude, communication, etc.) 2 Always talk confidently as if you are the superior of all (Don't boast) 3 Never feel inferior as someone who has got a higher rank than you (Even Einstein don't know to drive a car, but you know better) 4 Always fix your mind and visualize that you got your job in dream company. Don't be double minded. 5 Never feel demotivated, because you have not been shortlisted. (Some companies accept walk-ins - prove your potential)   (Real-life example - JIO came for campus last time. They shortlisted some 10 people. Finally they announced walk-in in the day of interview.) 6 Anything can happen. Never lose hope. 😉 ALL THE BEST FOR YOUR CAREER!
