This #BlackHistoryMonth, we’re taking a deep dive into achieving equity in STEM and specifically addressing the inclusion of young Black girls in computer science education. Knowing how to code is crucial to get into computer science, but to ensure that students from underrepresented backgrounds not only get into the field but also thrive in it, we need to focus on three other things besides coding skills. These include the breadth of our social networks, the strength of our support systems, and the availability of mentorship opportunities, all of which contribute significantly to students’ success in their computer science education. #ComputerScience #STEMequity Learn more here: https://lnkd.in/esQv-fCT
