I need help. With my morning routine. As a father, I'm finding it challenging to establish a consistent routine when wake-ups are unpredictable and sleep deprivation is real. Question for the dad community: How do you maintain a structured morning routine while juggling the demands of parenthood? What strategies have you found effective for: - Dealing with unexpected early wake-ups? - Managing your own energy levels when you're running on little sleep? - Balancing your personal morning rituals with family responsibilities? Trust me, I'm all for waking up, drinking a gallon of water, running a marathon, and receiving an honorary PhD. However, some mornings that just isn't possible when you have children. Do you have some non-negotiables that you have to get done in the morning? What order do you do them in? I'd love to hear your experiences, tips, and tricks. #DadLife #MorningRoutine #ParentingChallenges #WorkLifeBalance

𝐀 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞 𝐎𝐟 𝐑𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐞 ... I had lunch with a friend last week. We used to meet at least monthly but somehow the year passed and we didn't see each other. (Gotta fix that!) He mentioned how he's been struggling with sleep. Once he wakes, he can't get back into the sleep cycle. I don't have to tell you how important SLEEP is for your health. Especially for family caregivers. And yet, we do so little PREPARATION to make sure it's effective and useful. Obvious things like turn off all screens an hour before. Don't eat too late. Or drink alcohol. But that stuff does NOTHING for our MINDSET. (There's a point to all of this, by the way). What's interesting about mindset is that it sets the tone for EVERYTHING you do and feel. I've been working on this the past month - not sure how I got started, actually. One of the exercises to try is this ... as you lay in bed, try to quiet your mind. And just be in appreciation ... of your pillow, of your bed, of the person sleeping next to you (if that applies). Of your snoring dog. Of your relationship with your closet friends. If you fill your mind with that level of appreciation, you will WAKE UP in the same state. And we all know how important it is to start your day with intention. Try this tonight. I will be. And let me know how it goes. #mindset #gratitude #caregiving

Feeling overwhelmed by bedtime battles? You're not alone! Many families, especially those with neurodiverse children, struggle with creating a calm and restful sleep routine. This beautiful message from a client truly warmed my heart: "We are a neurodiverse household and bedtimes are usually long and filled with anxiety. We have used the meditations several times since and the girls have both listened and settled immediately. My son, Daniel, struggles the most at bedtime and he fell asleep listening to your sleep meditation for the first time. I don't need to tell you what this means to me, Cath, definitely powerful stuff!" I'm so grateful that my guided meditations are making a positive impact on families like this. Creating a happier life starts at home, and a good night's sleep is essential for everyone's well-being. Are you ready to transform your bedtime routine and create a calmer, happier home environment? I offer personalised coaching and guided meditations specifically designed to help children and families manage stress and anxiety. Let's chat! I'd love to learn more about your unique needs. #HappierLife #NeurodiversityParenting #BedtimeBattles #GuidedMeditation #WellbeingCoach #FindYourCalm #PersonalisedMindfulness #MindfulnessCoaching #StressManagement

Struggled with sleep since your baby was born? There will be times you wonder if you made the right decision to have a child, why it is only you having to get up in the night as your partner sleeps on, and somehow manage to put on a brave face in front of friends and colleagues. I've worked with so many parents who feel the same as you, simply wanting their child to sleep through the night. Over the decades I have learnt from the amazing children and families I've worked with and know what it really takes to have a child sleep and do this consistently. It does require patience. It's taken a lot of sleepless nights to get there and just to say that if it works with twins and triplets it can work for anyone. I've cracked it! I have a webinar Chaos to Calm next week and I will be sharing what it takes to have a child sleep well and give you the confidence to see a way through that gets you back to your former self without overwhelm and umpteen wake-ups. If you dream of more ease, less stress and a full night's sleep, request the link by commenting 'me' and we can get you feeling normal again. #babylifecoach #sleepconsultant #familywellbeing #parentingrelationships

✨ From Chaos to Calm: A Sleep Story for the Exhausted Parent's✨ “When we reached out to Donna, we were in survival mode. Our 5-month-old would only contact nap, co-sleep, and wake every 2 hours. We were utterly exhausted as a family and didn’t know where to start. Even naps were a struggle, lasting only 30–45 minutes. Donna saved us.” This beautiful family’s journey is one many of us can relate to—tired, overwhelmed, and unsure how to break the cycle. Together, we worked gently and patiently to create a sleep plan tailored to their little one’s needs. Fast forward to today: their baby now naps in her own room, sleeps soundly in her cot, and wakes only once or twice for a feed (as per their goals). And those dreaded 30-minute catnaps? They’re now full, restorative naps every single day. What made all the difference? A slow, child-focused approach that didn’t just help their baby sleep but also reassured and empowered Mum & Dad. This isn’t just about “fixing sleep”—it’s about supporting families, one gentle step at a time. If you’re feeling stuck in the thick of it, you don’t have to do this alone. Let’s turn your sleepless nights into peaceful ones. 🌙 Reach out today, and let’s create your family’s sleep transformation story. #Bub2Sleep #GentleParenting #SleepSupport #ExhaustedMums #TailoredSleepSolutions #BabySleep #theparentingcollective ##selfcareformums #HappyMamaHappyFamily #consciousparenting #perthmumsandbubs #perthmums #perthdads #parentingsupport #parentingsupport #parentingtips #breathedeep #mumlife #aussiemumbloggers #motherlove #motherlife #mother

🌟 Hey, moms! Feeling exhausted and guilty for wanting a moment to yourself? You're not alone, and here's why you should read this! 🌟 The main problem many parents face is the overwhelming sense of guilt that comes with taking time for self-care. The #1 mistake? Believing that self-care is selfish. ❌ But it shouldn't be this way! There's a better approach, and it's essential for your effectiveness as a parent. 🏆 Imagine what a day of intentional self-care could do, not just for you, but for your whole family. Picture this: Micro-moments of calm — even just five minutes of deep breathing, stretching, or simply savoring a cup of coffee or tea without distractions can reset your energy. ☕✨ And let's talk about prioritizing sleep. Yes, I know it's easier said than done, but making sleep a priority is a game changer. A rested mind is more patient, more present, and better equipped to handle the challenges of parenting. 🛌💤 Taking care of yourself isn't selfish; it's a gift you give to your family. 🎁 When you're at your best, you're more engaged, present, intentional, and consistent. Be better for yourself and your family, or continue struggling with the old ways. The choice is yours. 🌟💖
